Unlike Indian-style Bangladeshi restaurants, this place offers a genuine taste of Bangladesh. Located just a minute away from a stunning waterfall, the restaurant has street parking, but if you ask the owner, he can recommend a safe and convenient parking spot nearby.
It’s a must-try if you’re in or around New Jersey.

Very enjoyable local Bangladeshi restaurant in Paterson New Jersey. The restaurant itself seemed newer and it was very clean. The prices were reasonable, varying from about $8 and entree to around $15 an entree. I highly recommend stopping by for Bengali / Indian food cuisine. Check out the photos for the dishes we ordered.

By far the best Bangladeshi restaurant in Paterson, much better in taste than others here. Food is also inexpensive, hosts are really amazing, the decoration is inspiring and most important of all unlike other Bengali restaurants they have many fresh items to serve. However restaurant is not that large with a maximum capacity near 20 people. Nevertheless, this restaurant is highly recommended to taste authentic Bangladeshi food.

Got a takeout order for dinner. The Goat Tahari was the only dish that scored the maximum points on my book. The Morag Polao was the second best at 7 out of 10. At last, the Shami kabab was 4 out of 10. For a newly opened place, their service is very good. If they just tweak their current recipes to the authentic way, all of the concerns will be removed. Only the Goat Tahari can be left the way it is. Wishing this restaurant the very best. Definitely recommend trying them out.

I loved the Curries here, but Biryani was just average. Tried the Mughlai Paratha for the 1st time and it was pretty good and filling. This place is more suitable for Take-out though, wouldn’t recommend for dine in if you are visiting with family.

This is the first time we have visited Bornali Cafe. The restaurant seemed very clean and the food tasted great. We tried polao, various Bangladeshi meat dishes, shrimp, parathas, singaras and shrimp. They all tasted pretty authentic. Their vortas seemed pretty good too. In addition, the service was fast. I would rate it 4.8 out of 5. If you are looking for authentic Bangladeshi food, come here. You won’t regret. Highly recommended!
