I had such a great experience here in this store today! I have never been to this location before but was immediately greeted by all the baristas with smiles like they knew me it seemed like they really liked being there! The note on my cup told me to stay merry, and me and the one barista had a great conversation about what good pizza spots are in this town as I’m not from here! 10/10 would go again the best latte I’ve had in a while

In a place known for its local charm, this Starbucks falls far short of the local standard. After an unbelievable ‘mean girl’ experience there today with two baristas, I won’t be returning to this location anytime soon. The experience was so awful it compelled me to post my first Google review. If you’re looking for good coffee and great service there are many great nearby options with welcoming and friendly staff. This includes Goldberg’s in the same parking lot and Nofo Doughnut company, where you can get great eats as well. If you’re a Starbucks devotee head to Riverhead, where partners are super nice. Starbucks store management should be embarrassed by the service here.

They aren’t the fastest but they absolutely make the drinks right! Definitely earned 5 stars with the customer service, super friendly baristas. Be patient with them and let them make the drinks. They do a lot to make it feel like a community as well either different meet up’s and events.

Rude baristas with attitudes. It’s my birthday and I wanted a nice drink to start my day however it was nothing but a let down. I ordered a drink that didn’t taste right and asked for a fix up. I felt like I was inconveniencing the girl. After it was “fixed” it still tasted like non sweet milk instead of the Carmel drink I have ordered. I asked again to see if we can fix it she proceeded to open the lid and dump Carmel on top without stirring it and asking to see if the drink is now good. I left and won’t be coming back ever again. Terrible service.

Nobody knows how to make a proper drink.
We live like 2 minutes down the road and still drive to riverhead if we feel like getting starbucks because its gotten that bad.
Update after recieving a response: yes, you can ask them to remake drinks at no charge, but at this location they glare at you and act like you’ve just inconvenienced them. There’s no excuse for the behavior or consistently bad drinks, just lack of training/care from the team here.

Went there Saturday. Myself and one other patron in the place. I order an Americano. Easy right? 17 minutes later (zero exaggeration) and still don’t have my coffee. At nearly 20 minutes I ask for money back and leave. It seems that the people who sit in their cars and order on the phones take priority over a patron standing at the counter. I don’t know if this is corporate policy or what but its ridiculous. The staff was hustling but again just filling phone orders. There’s lots of great coffee shops locally here I have zero reason ever to return. Starbucks is a sinking ship, jump off now.

sooo disappointing… why do I bother making a specific order, the same drink I get 99 out of 100 x’s! here’s the order (I have the same favorite’d on my mobile app):
double tall late w/whole milk
no foam, w/3 sugar-in-raw
& stirred please
(I even exchanged pleasantries with register clerk about using a metal spoon instead of those dreadful wooden stirrers, which is why I ask)… & what do I get?:
a tall double late filled 3/4 with foamy whole milk, & not a single sugar-in-raw, not to mention unturned (wouldn’t make difference anyway) this isn’t the 1st time here. why? do I deserve it? am I hated? I am nice, & go there often. get a clue baristas! you’re losing another customer in Mattituck

I love this Starbucks (good location too). One employee never smiles but he makes great drinks so I’ll let that go. Everyone is good at what they do and seem happy to be at work. They all make a welcoming environment. The drinks are decent, could be more generous with the ingredients. Add a scoop of matcha sometimes.
