This is not typical pizza. It comes in squares and is Ohio Valley style, meaning they put the cheese and toppings on AFTER it cooks. The heat melts the mozzarella and toppings, but not like you may be used to. My wife grew up eating DiCarlo’s, and loves to stop anytime she can.
I also got a pizza roll, pepperoni and mozzarella, with tomato sauce on the side. It was great.
It’s a take out place, but they have a counter at the window with stools and we ate there. There is also a little table and 2 chairs on the sidewalk.
This place is on a side street, just off the very busy High St, so look carefully.
There is paid street parking only.

The atmosphere was fine, and the service was top notch. I didn’t understand the pizza, though, and definitely wasn’t a fan. The crust was baked nicely but the toppings were put on cold(?) honestly like an adult “lunchable.” I’m guessing you can probably ask them to cook it normally, but I didn’t. From the other reviews, some people really like it, but it wasn’t for me. Thanks for the experience though, I’m always down to try something new.

It is counter service and mostly carry out BUT growing up in the Ohio Valley DiCarlos was the 1st pizza I had about 1955. It is SPOT ON to the original. The sauce tomatoey, the crust crispy, cheese and pep added and a disservice to the original to add other toppings IMO. Don’t think Columbus Pizza think a new taste sensation. There is limited seating but it was perfect for our small family get together. Management is very helpful and attentive. The panwich and salad were highly approved by those in our group that ordered them. I will drive the 20 miles for it again.

Pizza is great. Surprisingly crunchy crust, the base is also thinner than I expected but thick around the edges. Tried some in the store with unmelted cheese and once at home when it was partially melted, and was good both ways.

Love having the home town flavor here in Columbus. That Ohio valley really shines through their sauce.

Perfected lunchables are what I would best describe these pies to be. Great crispy crust, hot pizza sauce, and cool cheese come together nicely. I got a half pep half cheese sheet to feed 5. Does well reheating as the cheese doesn’t burn as it is not being cooked twice. also, the pie can be perfected any way you like when reheating. Something different, worth a try…

This pizza is STANDOUT good. Was apprehensive due to the unconventional style, but it blew me away. Love that they offer a 6 slice box. Perfect amount of pizza for 2-3 people. Italian ice was also superb.
