Unassuming little spot in a plaza not too far from where I live. This is pretty good traditional sushi spot. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Nothing too fancy or fusion. If I’m dining out for sushi this is the standard for how good it has to be. Definitely will be back again. The staff were all so sweet and attentive.

I love it here. Years ago we heard this is where sushi chefs go to eat after work. I don’t know if it’s true, but I think the quality of the fish is amazing. Tsuyoshi and Chef Kei are friendly and very sweet. It’s starting to feel like home.

The fish was obviously of very high quality. The tuna and salmon melted in my mouth like butter. The portions were on the smaller side and higher in price. Also there were warm face towels before and after. You get what you pay for. Soregashi is located in a mini strip mall at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Highland Ave, a schmoe location if there ever was one. But I just attended a Noel Coward cabaret show at the LGBT Center around the corner
and I was hungry plus I’ve long wanted to try Soregashi. I also had miso, cucumber salad, and hot green tea. I would go back to Soregashi when I’m feeling more flush.

Very good Sushi spot located in a small, non-descript strip/plaza off of Santa Monica and Highland. Friendly staff and very high quality Sushi.

Shown below, the Chirashi Bowl and Salmon + Bluefin Tuna Nigiri.

I love this place. The rolls are amazing but the sashimi really shines. Apps and sake selection are good too. It’s a place for minimalist Japanese food and that is refreshing by me. Server and chef were kind and attentive. So happy we came and we will be back – Thank you !!

Small no-frills authentic Japanese with good sushi and a variety of fun appetizers and salads. Some nice options of broiled fish too. Friendly staff.

I’m Japanese and tried several Sushi restaurants recommended by Japanese friends. And this is the best so far in my opinion!

Fresh and beautifully prepared fish were so delicious!!!

I’ll definitely recommend my friends!

I’ve been eating sushi since I was 12 (I’m 42 now) and I’ve eaten sushi in some excellent restaurants in numerous cities in Japan, and this was the best sushi I’ve ever had. But not just anything on the menu, specifically the “Sushi Omakase,” which is priced at $95… and worth every penny. Eat it slowly and savor every bite.

Absolutely fantastic sushi. My wife and I had omakase sushi and every bite was amazing. The quality of the fish and the care in preparation are equivalent to much higher priced restaurants. This was by far the best value for the money as the cost was less than half of other omakase experiences I have had. I highly recommend Soregashi to anyone who enjoys truly authentic sushi.

Best egg plant ever! So soft, juicy and flavorful – must have appetizer! Sushi of course fresh, especially the toro specials. But that eggplant
