Sir Rogers, I found your spot behind the legendary Prison which is known all over the world like the on movie Lock Up and many more. It’s now two months ago that I tasted your delicious and heavenly food, it’s true, it’s real and it’s made with the love for food and ingredients. What I truly can say you got the best BBQ from the east to the south and I traveled more than 20 stops through the USA.

Me and my husband went for some authentic souls food, at Rodgers we got just that. We got combo meal with ribs, chicken, and pulled pork with 2 sides & cornbread. The price was decent and the serving was more than enough. Great flavors, I got mild sauce and my husband ordered hot sauce and he was satisfied with the spices! The mac and cheese was covered with hot sauce and I was unable to enjoy the flavor maybe next time. Corn bread was great flavor and texture. Well done Rodger!!! I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. I’ll be coming back to taste that fish.

Been going to Rodger’s bbq for few years and never disappoints me. The food is always fresh and hot. The food is tasty not salty which I prefer. I finally tried his homemade uptown tea (mix of ice tea and lemonade) which was the perfect sweetness and you can tell it’s definitely not like Arnold Palmer because it has a different taste, possibly he put honey in it. He is very nice guy always has a smile in his face and likes to make small talks. Also if you’re curious about times he only works Wednesday thru Sundays starts at noon until the food runs out so closing time varies

Great spot for no frills but REAL good cooking. Get the combo platter with all the meats for $25, comes with very moist cornbread, you won’t be disappointed. Nice casual bench seating in the back, my man is a pit master!

As an Aussie, authentic American bbq is hard to find. My cousin brought me here and omg the food is amazing. Cannot go past the brisket, Mac n cheese, collard greens and especially the coconut cake!! Seriously amazing stuff here!

The ribs here are probably the best you can have anywhere because objectively, you won’t be able to make them any better. Smoky flavor from the wood fire, fall off the bone texture, crisp on the outside yet melting soft on the inside, coupled with a really sweet spicy homemade sauce- that’s a winning combination anywhere in the world.
Chicken leg was good, likewise. I will add to this review after i try all the sides. Promising menu for sure.

Great little truck across from the prison in the uhaul parking lot. Food was great! Had the ribs, corn bread and my wife had the pulled pork plus a slice of his coconut cake and all were delish! Hands down one of the best BBQ spots in the area!

This is legitimate barbecue that rivals some of the best spots in Tennessee and Georgia. I have never had better collard greens- beyond tender and flavorful. The mac and cheese is killer with high-quality cheeses perfectly complementing each other on solid noodles. Baked beans are top notch with some tasty molasses. Sauces were all very flavorful. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, made sure you had a superb meal. You have to try this place, it will not be the last time.
