What happens when someone does the work.
Our minds were especially blown when we learned that the owner herself runs that kitchen solo and was doing an awesome job of it.
The food was hot, timely, delicious.
Everything felt intentional and a product of striving for what would add to the experience, from the branded bag on the curry donut to the ultra contemporary themed bathroom.
This is the type of experience you’d expect in a city far larger and more cosmopolitan than Ashland. You would do well to pay Miss Yoon a visit.

The food is phenomenal! And the chef is so accommodating. I have food intolerances and she said I can call ahead and she’ll make what I want without the things I can’t have. Now that’s service! So looking forward to going again. Update: Sadly, Missyoon is no more. The restaurant, at least. I was very sorry to see it go.

Expensive, but worth it. Such refined food, flavors and great cocktails. Highly recommended for exquisite and authentic Korean. ****Update after my fifth visit. Rare restaurant that is as good as the first time. Menu constantly updated, such creativity by the chef!

I travel to Ashland often for work and usually hit the same spots over and over. And having lived here 15 years ago there are new places but mostly the same fare. Missyoon, however, is the best place I have experienced in years! The atmosphere is lovely, the patio seats about 20, and the dining room, maybe, double that. But the FOOD! I had the tofu curry donut the first night and the japchae with soju. And on a hot night I couldn’t have picked better. I came with a friend and she had the bimibap which was also delicious. Then, because my experience was so wonderful I can back the next night to try the fried chicken and banchan with makegeolli….oh man, I am in heaven. This place should be packed but currently is very quiet. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I am sad this is my last night… but I will be back! I almost hate to post a review because then it will get too busy… but it would be worse if it went out of business. So, if you like delicious food, friendly people, and a super chill atmosphere this place is calling for you!

Absolutely everything here was amazing! We tried the mandu, japchae, Korean fried chicken and banchan; and literally every dish was delicious. Perfect portions to share so you can taste lots of things, and you will want to taste all the things! Service was quick, everyone was cheerful and helpful with any questions, and the place itself is adorable. Do yourself a favor, wander off the beaten path of downtown and try this gem; you won’t be disappointed!

The food and service both deserve high praise. Great wine list and several soju offerings – soju on the menu is a first for me in Oregon. If it’s on the menu, try the curry donut!
