Excellent experience at Bruschetta. If you are searching for a great meal in South Lake Tahoe, hop off the strip and visit this place tucked away in a little shopping area. It looks unassuming, but it’s incredible. You won’t be disappointed! Make a reservation because they packed out quickly at our dinner time, it’s very intimate and not a lot of tables. The caprese salad featured fresh heirloom tomatoes and polpette was freshly made! Order the lasagna and share! You won’t be dissatisfied – it’s amazing. We topped off dinner with tiramisu and it was delicious. Next trip to the area we will definitely visit again.

Incredible food, service and atmosphere. It’s a hidden gem in an unsuspecting lot. They had a vegan lasagna that was delicious. I highly recommend it. My mom got a chicken parm sandwich that she said was also very good and found the side salad refreshing.

On a chilly November night, our bellies were warmed by the incredible food and lovely staff at Bruschetta. We brought a visiting friend with us and as a Gambino, we knew Italian cuisine would be appreciated, but our palates were beyond pleased!
From the rich 3-meat Bolognese to the decadent 20-layer lasagna, every bite was perfection. The scallops with fettuccine were tender and bursting with flavor, and the warmed beet salad was out-of-this-world delicious. Five stars simply aren’t enough for Bruschetta!

One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The veal and lasagna were delicious and big enough for 2 or 3 to share. Really great pomodoro sauce on the pasta dishes, and salads were very fresh. Cocktails were really well made, especially the beet (!) and gin drink. Loved my osso bucco with polenta. Service was so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to their brunch on the weekend.

OMG. The lasagna !!!! Shared a caprese salad, a meatball appetizer and then the 33 layer lasagna! Soooo Good. Highly recommend but unless you’re very hungry you’ll never finish that entree by yourself. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation for some super fresh and delicious Italian food.

Best restaurant in Tahoe by a mile. The lasagna is next level, as is every other dish. Don’t sleep on the cocktails either. The service is top-tier and it’s a cozy atmosphere. It’s been 4 months since we’ve been and I had to leave this review because we still can’t stop talking about the lasagna.

In all honesty the food scene in and around Lake Tahoe isn’t the best. Bruschetta is one of the exceptions! We stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday evening. Our service at the bar was great while the bartender kept us informed he poured well made drinks. We ordered several items from the menu, everything was outstanding. If you are looking for well prepared food with fresh ingredients I’d give Bruschetta a try. It’s a short drive from South Lake Tahoe, has plenty of parking and a great vibe.

Mixed experience on the menu items.
The good was the Pancetta and Fig salad, Lasagna (although not typical and not the best I’ve had, but enjoyable), and the wine.
The bad was Ciopino that was rich with seafood, but bland in taste. Also that my Lasagna was burned on the bottom, and after seeing other portions served to other diners later I suspect mine was reheated from the prior day – although it still tasted fine even with a little burned flavor.
The ugly was the Caesar salad. Tasted like it was from Costco.
Expect a pleasant neighborhood Italian restaurant with some hits and misses and you’ll be happy. If you don’t mind prices a lot higher than expected for this type of place (a casual cafe’ venue in a strip mall off the beaten path).
People are happy and pleasant, the café style venue with booths is casual and cozy. The two seat tables between the line of booths will make you feel compelled to chat with the couples next to you as they’re very close and directly in line with the booths so it feels like one large group. Could be a plus or minus depending on whether you prefer separation from other diners.
Not on par with better Italian places, and certainly not a value, but enjoyable if your menu items work out and far better that Scuza or similar in Tahoe.

Absolutely loved this place! The owner came out and spoke with us. I believe the chef came out and spoke with us. Everybody just wanted to make sure that you were having a wonderful time. The espresso Martini was delicious before dinner. I came here because of the ratings and because of the fact they have a 20 layer lasagna. My wife got the lasagna and I got the veal parmesan. Both were absolutely excellent! I highly recommend this place.
