The restaurant is in a run down strip mall. The restaurant didn’t have a working AC when we visited. Service is quite poor.
We had tried their catering a couple of places and it was excellent but the restaurant was disappointing.
We tried the sec puri, lilva kachori, khasta kachori – all were “okay”. I do recommend the dabeli.
Lastly, recommend their Gujarati style Indian food catering menu.

This is a good, no-frills spot for Gujarati staples. It’s a great little place to introduce people to these dishes.

Visited Gopal today. The most delicious item we had at the restaurant was the pickle.
We ordered kachori, kulcha, chole, and paratha. The kachori was served ice cold. The kulcha had no taste at all. The parathas tasted frozen, had a strong refrigerated smell, and were extremely small in size.
The overall customer experience was poor. Nothing looked clean, and the restaurant did not appear hygienic. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
This 1star is for that pickle.

The food was delicious and full of authentic flavors. The service was great, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The samosa chaat was especially very tasty and perfectly prepared. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian vegetarian food.

Probably the best Gujarati food i had until now. Gujarati thali was fulfilling, loved the curries. The desserts can be little bit harder, the inside looked little bit small and you might find hard to park especially during busy hours.

For a long time we wanted to visit Gopal restaurant at Richardson, Tx. Finally, we took the plunge today and went to have our lunch. First, the restaurant ambience was in poor taste. We ordered 2 limited vegetarian thali, one with Aloo paratha and the other one with Bajri Rotla. The Aloo parathas were overtly stuffed with potatoes and the bajri rotlas were undercooked. The curries had overflowing oil. To top it all the limited lunch thali was priced was $15.99 per thali, which is a ripoff. On top of that, the cashier guy had a perennial scowl on his face and looked pretty grumpy. Overall, a pretty unhappy experience. Made my last visit ever to this restaurant .

Food was simple and sober, nothing extra. You can find homemade food option. We had high hopes on thali but due to that day subji selection we couldn’t get best out of it. Methi gota is a must try.
Pro tip: call before and try to know subji of the day. (Which we didn’t do)

Service – So rude was the guy who brought the food that we were sick to the stomach with his reply – for a simple question that would it be possible to get Dal that we had ordered instead of Kadi! that he brought!!. The same goes to the other person who took our order – his attitude was like – who cares why are you even here, we have lots of people coming to our place anyways!!
Food – 2 Subjis that came with the Thali were oozing with oil!. In spite of requesting before placing order if there is a way to reduce oil. Of course there was not an iota of response from the guy taking the order for our request!
All in all – no, will never step in back here and will not recommend to anyone in our circle.
Do not expect any kind of courtesy, acknowledgments, friendly atmosphere here – because it’s just not there on their customer service menu. And do not try any friendly conversations with the staff – because your food might be snatched away by them!!

This is a small vegetarian restaurant with interesting decorations. The three people that were working there were very kind and helpful. The food I ordered was just okay and didn’t taste too great for me to want to come back.
