We went here for a date night a few weeks ago. The place was pretty empty for how awesome of a restaurant this was, but I suppose it was kind of late. We started our meal with a Thai tea, a seaweed salad and Ipswich crab Rangoon. The Thai tea had a nice flavor and was not too strong. I really liked the seaweed salad, it had a nice ratio of seaweed to lettuce to cucumber. I think the crab Rangoons were alright, the shell was a little chewier than I’d like it to be, but the filling was nice, creamy, and you could definitely tell there was crab in it, and the sweet sauce it had was great, and not too syrupy. For the main course I got the crispy duck choo chee (recommended by our server,) and my girlfriend got the crispy chicken pad Thai. The duck choo-chee was an awesome recommendation, I was very impressed with the dish. The duck was super crispy, maybe a little dry, but still juicy! The curry complimented it perfectly, it was creamy, a little spicy, and complimented with a lime flavor to bring it all together. Also the rice was super sticky and it was the perfect trifecta of curry, rice, and duck. I think the star of the show really had to be the Crispy Chicken Pad Thai though, regardless of how much I liked the duck. The crispy chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had the breading was so crispy and flavorful and the chicken didn’t get dried out, it was incredible, and the portion size was huge it covered the whole plate! The pad Thai was also really well done, the main flavors were spiciness and peanut, it had a hint of sweetness but the main flavor was not sweetness. Also it had big strips of translucent onions and scallions, it was a perfect meal. We loved the meal, and we were hoping to get dessert, but unfortunately the mangos they use for the mango sticky rice were out of season so they didn’t offer it at the time we went, which I can respect, though I wish we could have tried it. Also to say a little about the atmosphere, I think it’s a really beautiful place (the carpets might not be the best,) but I love the green color on the walls and they also have some of the best smelling soap in the bathroom, and the tables are well spread out and had plenty of room for all our food. The meal ended up costing about 75 dollars which was totally fair for the quality and service. Also at the end our server was so sweet, she was like “do you want more rice to take home with you? It’s free!” There is no better way to get me and my girlfriend excited than free rice. Of course we got some free rice and had an amazing meal the next day with our leftovers. We love this place and can’t wait to come back, I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

My go to order is always Tom Kha with tofu, crispy duck pad Thai, mango sticky rice, and a Thai tea. It NEVER disappoints from Spice Thai Kitchen. Everything I’ve had from Spice Thai is always good including the things not in my regular order like the crab Rangoon’s, shrimp tempura, and the crispy chicken basil. I have other Thai places closer to me but I will still go further to get my Thai food from Spice Thai because it is that much better. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and inviting. I’m very excited about their new online ordering and rewards program. I hope Spice Thai Kitchen is open and serving forever because it is the only Thai place I want to eat from forever.

We got most of the Thai standards and enjoyed them all. The pad Thai had a good hit of fish sauce but a little sweeter than I like. The interior was kind of meh, but hey, if the food is good, I’m fine with that. What was disappointing is no changing tables in either bathroom.
We don’t come to this area often but would be willing to come back.

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. Food was absolutely amazing- we got the beef w/ basil, fried chicken rice, shrimp pad thai, scallion pancakes & the dumpling soup. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a very nice dinner here. We started with lemon grass tea followed by to gai Kia soup which warm, flavorful chicken soup that transports me out of New England. Our salad of papaya seasoned slightly spicy was very nice with a fresh crunch. Our main course was the chicken special which comes with a great sauce. The staff were very nice and the Resteraunt quiet and enjoyable. Parking was easy right out front.

Great and fast service. The Ka-Pow Gai was so, so good. The sauce was perfectly spicy and aromatic, and i couldn’t put down my fork. My significant other thoroughly enjoyed their shrimp and chicken Pad Thai. The host (owner?) was sure that we were satisfied and that our food was good. He refilled our water without asking two times. The cat and dog pictures that decorated the one wall and behind the counter were very funny and made my day. If I lived in the area, I would come once a week. Thank you very much!

We have lived in Ipswich for more than five years and never went in this place, largely because they never seemed to be anybody in it. It must make its living on takeout, but that’s a bit of a shame – we finally went in for dinner last week and it was actually quite great. Very authentic Thai food, well made, very flavorful, and well presented. Whoever is in the kitchen really knows what they’re doing. We actually enjoyed sitting in the dining room as well, though it does feel a little unfinished. A few more touches would really make this place outstanding.

I am so grateful for Spice here in Ipswich. My husband and I crave it on a regular basis. The new menu is excellent, and the staff are so thorough and remember us & make amazing recommendations for what we might like. Everything is always fresh, delicious, prepared with care, and delivered quickly & hot! We have our definite favorites (if you like cozy soups, you must try the kuai tiao noodle soup and the khao soi), but every time we try something new, we suddenly have new favorites. Before moving home to Ipswich, we lived in places where the food options were more diverse, and we miss that. The food at Spice Thai is a huge gift to this community. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

This used to be on our take out rotation, all the food was good. I particularly love the soups.
However we went to place an order only to find that prices have recently gone up significantly, over 30% in some cases (looking at my past receipts from November 2024 the pad see ew with crispy chicken and baby corn was $18, that same dish is now $24.50, drunken noodles increased by $3).
Also deducted another star because on more than one occasion we’ve had items missing from our order.
Total bummer, going to miss going here.
