The 1850 brunch house is newly decorated and so lovely. It brings in the outdoors- it is refreshing and relaxing ! They did a fantastic job renovating. The bar area and outdoor seating is beautiful.
The outdoor setting is a view of the hills and the golf course. Anywhere you sit- you have a gorgeous outdoor view.
The owners were delightful and friendly to chat with.
Staff is attentive , welcoming and eager to please. Food was delicious and portions were more than enough!
I had the berry crepe/ cheesecake crepe and my husband had the Irish omelet. Both were delicious!
We’ll definitely be back ! Soon!
We’ll try music bingo this Friday too!

Brunch House is such a hidden gem! The location is beautiful, it’s right on a golf course, so you get peaceful views while dining, especially on the outdoor patio during the summer.

The food was fantastic from start to finish. We had the steak and eggs, a crispy panini with golden onion rings, and the pancake tacos filled with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. For dessert, the crepe was massive and wrapped like a burrito, and it was absolutely worth saving room for.

They also have a great selection of refreshing summer cocktails.

My husband and I brought my mother-in-law to 1850 House for Sunday brunch to celebrate her birthday. We arrived at 12 and they were slammed! We were grateful to the hostess who managed to get us a table and definitely know to make reservations next time. The vibe is adorable here – the aesthetic is trendy while maintaining the charm of the 1850 building. The view of the golf course will be beautiful in the summer! Service was definitely on the slower side, and we were here 2 hours which we didn’t expect for brunch, but we understood with how busy they were. Drinks were good, and food was okay. We did think we’ve had better corned beef hash, and my steak in my salad was a little tough. Overall it’s the nicest place for brunch in the Southbury area, and I would definitely come back to enjoy the vibe!

When I arrived with my two children we were greeted by a host who was clearly busy. She found a table for us, but given how busy the place was and how few servers there were, it tooks nearly 10 minutes for someone to even come over. I quickly ordered food, which did arrive quickly. The childrens omlette was great, but I was given rotten salsa. When I informed the waitress she got me fresh pico, but there was nothing offered for having just eaten rotten salsa.

Overall, the food was average and the service was not great either given how busy it was. I will not be back.

Brunch House 1850 in Southbury was exactly what we were looking for while scoping out summer homes nearby…comfortable, local, cozy, and solid brunch. Total home run. The menu hit all the right notes. I had the chicken honey mustard panini and it was delicious, plus bonus points for real side options (yes to the onion rings). My wife went with an omelet and potatoes and was more than satisfied.

The vibe was warm, homey, with a couple of fireplaces going… perfect on a chilly, overcast day. And a shout-out to Dana, our attentive server, who kept things moving without ever feeling rushed. The kind of place you’re happy to linger in.

I absolutely loved the Brunch House 1850.
The interior is completely updated and brightened up from how it used to be. Its charming and trendy decor are the perfect aesthetic for any celebration.
This is absolutely the perfect spot to bring your favorite brunch crew as there really is something here for everyone!

First the fresh squeezed OJ is not to be missed!
Mocktails or cocktails are a must, they have a full bar and make really delicious craft cocktail.

If you’re a fan of avocado toast, you’re going to love the variations they have available. We had fresh mozzarella with balsamic drizzle and it was so fresh and tasty.

The crepes are a great option and whether you’re a fan of savory or sweet, they certainly have you covered. The bacon egg and cheese crepe was loaded with eggs, bacon, tator tots overall a great choice. If you crave something a little sweeter the strawberry cheesecake will absolutely hit the spot.

I loved the power bowl options, perfect if you’re looking for a healthier option. The salmon was cooked perfectly and paired well with the spinach, cucumbers, feta, chickpeas etc.

And let’s not forget about the incredible eggs Benedict selection! We had the Oscar Benedict, which had crab meat and asparagus and was over polenta. Creative and tasty.

There’s a large room in the back to host your own private party or gathering for bridal showers, baby showers etc.

Don’t sleep on this spot, they’ve really taken branching in style to a whole new level! Were absolutely here for it!,

Igli has done it again! Excellent experience! A little more upscale than his other gem, Kitchen 64 in Middlebury, but the food and our server were up to the same standard. The omelets and home fries were delicious, the hash outstanding! It’s Kitchen 64 with a more refined twist. We liked it alot and will visit again, but our favorite is still Kitchen 64. Highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed with either of his restaurants!

Girls and I had lunch today. Food was great. And desert? OMG Julian ( server) recommended the Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe. Not only the best I’ve ever had. But the three of us shared. It was soooo good. And HUGE! Julia was also friendly and knew that menu boy. Everything was just great.
We will be back!

Just came from here and I LOVED it. It was a quiet, intimate and beautiful location. The drinks were amazing, the food was amazing. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted from the menu since everything looked amazing. The waitress was super inviting, sweet and attentive, I can’t stop raving. This is the place to eat while the kids are at school ❤️
