Ordered the crab cake and catfish (2) platters with mac n cheese, candied yams and green beans for sides. Platters are made to order and very fresh and tastee. I had a bit of a wait, but everything was worth it and delicious.

Tomeka’s Homestyle Eatery is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent customer service. The entire facility was spotless, comfortable, and welcoming; just the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
And the food? Simply amazing! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, but the real standout for me were the candied yams; sweet, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell every dish is made with love and care. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Pretty good soul food. The ribs were absolutely fall off the bone, and the whitefish was good. The yams are outstanding, the mac and cheese is decent, and my wife liked the collard greens. Cornbread was just okay, not bad, just not outstanding. Service was excellent and the staff was exceedingly friendly. Definitely would love to come back again.

Omgggg I got the crab cake platter and it was sooo good omgggg I had to wait a little but it was sooo worth the wait. The atmosphere is very nice the place was so clean and everyone is friendly , the corn bread is amazing this place is def on my top of the list moving forward

Tomeka’s Homestyle Eatery makes me feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious. Everything is so fresh and good. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is always clean and the bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve been in. I would recommend highly people to come experience th3 love. It is worth the wait.

Great experience, and it was my first time eating there! The five stars for food, service, and atmosphere are well deserved! One of the things I noticed and really appreciated was the use of the customer’s name, which made you feel like a friend…they called your name to get your order, but checked on you (by name) throughout your time in the restaurant just to make sure you were good and didn’t need anything. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. The portions were good, too. I ate some food then and saved some for later. I had the fried whiting with mac and cheese and yams. I also had fried chicken wings. My husband had the pork chop platter. He said if he had known the pork chops were thick cut, he would have only ordered 1 instead of 2. However, I say again – everything was delicious! If you are ever in town, please eat there!

I decided to try Tomeka’s again. I was in need of some comfort food and what is the best comfort food – soul food. Again disappointed with taste and speed of service . I ordered the whiting fish platter with mac and cheese and greens . The fish was tasteless except for salt and slightly on the rubbery side. Mac and cheese was creamy but also tasteless as well as the greens. There was not a wait line and maybe 4 customers waiting for their orders but it still took approx 30 minutes to receive my order that was not worth it. No complaints about the quantity of food or price (enough to feed 2 people ) or atmosphere – nice vibe. I have accepted Tomeka’s is just not for me. I leave disappointed everytime.

This was my first visit to Tomeka’s. My cousin invited me to celebrate my recent retirement. Wonderful choice! I had the crabcake platter with greens and mac and cheese. Large portions and nice prices. Friendly staff and excellent cooks. We arrived 10 minutes before they opened the doors. There were already at least ten people ahead of us in line. On my next visit, I want to order the garlic stuffed shrimp with crab meat. Thank you to my cousin who introduced this great place to me. Thank you, Ms. Tomeka, for your culinary skills.

Stopped over on the drive home. We chose it due to the reviews. Food was amazing. Staff were more than friendly. Definitely worth waiting for as everything tasted fresh and home made.
