The food and ambience are top notch. We had a few appetizers, including the crispy eggplant, which was amazing. The duck breast entree and seared scallops in the salad were cooked to perfection. And the bread pudding desert was the perfect end to the meal (and I usually find bread pudding questionable). Exceptional service too. We can’t recommend this place enough, and we will definitely go back the next time we visit.

Brenda and I had a great date night at the Archer last night a great local casual and intimate neighborhood gem of a restaurant at the Meeting Street Lofts right past Taco Boy. Charlotte Hostess and manager and Max our server were amazing. Martini and Negroni cocktails were perfectly mixed. Food was delicious service was excellent and ambience is romantic.

The Archer is the perfect moody, romantic date night spot. Sophisticated drink program, late night bites available, happy hour deals daily till 6pm, delicious meals– you just can’t go wrong. Timmy provided us with the best service I’ve experienced here in Charleston. Thank you again, Timmy!!! We will be back soon. The food is amazing. It is the perfect date night spot, low light, beautiful decorations. My wife and I have sat at the bar both times for dinner and have had fantastic service every time. Looking forward to trying the entire menu but some standouts are the crab dip, the salad, the beef tartare, and the burger. Just a very high quality restaurant to have in rotation.

We really enjoyed this meal. Our least favorite thing we had was probably the fried eggplant but it was still delicious and if served somewhere else probably would have been top of our list. We loved the okra dish… can’t spell it. LOVED the short rib my espresso martini and goat cheese gin drink were both amazing! Great service! Would come back if we were ever in Charleston again.

Awesome restaurant with delicious food, friendly service, and a nice upscale atmosphere. For starters, we got the pork belly and octopus. Both were delicious but the portion size for the pork belly was a bit small. The octopus was excellent. For entrees, the scallop risotto was amazing and the beef short rib was tender and full of flavor.

We had a larger group reservation at Archer on Wednesday and I can not say enough about the service and vibe of the restaurant. Our server Kendall was warm and even willing to break down our bill individually, I know this can be an inconvenience so was so pleased. The restaurant is trendy and cozy with free parking in the Meeting Street Lofts parking garages – you scan a code in the restaurant. The drinks were lovely and every bite was yummy. The chef dropped of some of the meal and at the end of the night sent over a dessert. The Archer is everything you think of when you think of food and hospitality in Charleston. Warm, welcoming, casual yet elevated. It’s about the experience but also knowing that good food and drinks is the heart of it all. Highly recommend!!
