I’ve been at this Restaurant a few times since New Management and the service has been consistently good. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable. The veggie steamed dumplings are awesome; the shrimp fried rice is delicious. This is definitely my favorite for those days I want a great meal.

Food is delicious and will always have an aesthetic look to it. I personally enjoy the service style being both attentive yet not so bothersome. The dish I ordered being beef and broccoli was cooked well and flavor full, the mixture of chewy and tender paired well with the sauce and broccoli.

There are a dozen asian places in the area and its difficult for a business to truly stand out. These guys nail it. Every dish I tried so far is knocked out the park. Flavors are bold and the food doesn’t leave me feeling heavy like other local Chinese take-outs. They quickly became the staple take out for my family when we’re craving Chinese for dinner. I never dined in, but even their service at the counter during pick up is top notch. Little gestures like being offered a complimentary drink while waiting goes a very long way. You can tell they deeply care about what they do and it shows both in the flavor of the food and the service you receive. I really hope this place is here to stay as I am here to stay as a regular. Thank you!

Anise continues to be a welcome, affordable, and pleasant dining experience in the neighborhood. The one suggestion I made to our server was to re-do the lunch special menu so spicy dishes are marked as such (perhaps until they are, servers can inform a diner that a dish they are ordering is very spicy). I just passed the restauraunt and noticed the other section of the menu (posted on the window) has a hot pepper notation next to the spicy dishes- but the ones posted here don’t.

I recently visited Anise Restaurant and was blown away by the amazing improvements under the new management. The entire experience—from the moment I walked in—was nothing short of excellent. The atmosphere feels fresh and welcoming, the staff is attentive and professional, and most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious.
Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with care. You can really tell the new management is focused on quality and great service. Anise has truly elevated itself, and I can’t wait to return.

Old neighbor standby had in our opinion “gone downhill,” but now, under new management, is excellent. Food is fresh snd really good. Service (Tony) is outstanding, warm and very friendly. Our second visit in two weeks and we’ll definitely be back often.

Food was very good. The hot sour soup was perfect balance of spicy and sweet. I like it to have that subtle kick. The chicken dish was very tasty as well. My suggestion is to add decoration. It’s bleak inside. Also, play some music. It adds something to the dining experience. Jessica was charming as our server.

The food is excellent in my opinion. And the service has always been good for me. The last few times I have ordered takeout my order has shown up earlier than expected. And it’s always been fast when eating in the restaurant.
I feel the atmosphere in the restaurant is the biggest downside. You wouldn’t know you’re in a Chinese restaurant – it could be any old diner. The colors are drab and dated, the wallpaper is peeling, and immediately to the right of the bar is a service area that isn’t attractive to look at.
I recommend redecorating in Chinese or Chinoiserie style. Dim the lights, add some plants, a fountain, hanging lanterns, cool wallpaper, hide the service area, and put on some Chinese music.
