Stick to the noodles, ordered the galbi jjim and it was all bones… it felt like it was left overs given to us. How can you charge $40 for bones. it wasn’t even cooked well. Meat was tough … did not fall off bone. Maybe bc I ordered it to go they thought they could get away with?
Pic shows the ones we did not touch. I wish I took from start bc they were all like that.

For those who are wondering: No, this is not an extension of Myeongdong Gyoza, from Myeongdong, Korea.
And yes, this also means that Myeongdong’s unlimited noodle service does not apply here at this location…
However! The Myungdong Noodle House answered the K-Town’s need for the famous kalguksoo from Myeongdong, and I gotta say, it was a pleasant surprise.
The original kalguksoo has its own distinct flavor, a little less greasy than what you may have tasted in Korea. I immediately knew I’d have a craving for this here, in NYC.
The steamed mandoo too, had me reminiscing about the time in Korea. It was replicated delightfully. I enjoyed them just as much.

After trying all of our dishes, we knew that what Myungdong Noodle House had was their own thing. They may have caught my attention with another’s gimmick, but it was their flavor that got me curious to try different items on their menu. You know? You try one thing and it becomes obvious to you that the rest of the menu is going to be the same top-tier flavors.
And boy were we glad that we didn’t need to wait 45 minutes to sit down as we did in Korea. This place is pretty big! The staff is friendly and the table service is conveniently equipped with calling bells.
If you are not about to drop in Myeongdong Korea any time soon, I’d recommend that you try.

I want to say the service here was excellent, hence being happy to leave a tip that was as much as the food I ordered. I wanted to leave 4.5 stars because the grilled pork they gave me was a bit dry but, in all honesty everything else tasted excellent. Would be happy to come back.

While passing through the area, decided to dine here for a weekday lunch. A shared (free) parking lot adjacent to the restaurant was available to use, but was a bit difficult to get a parking spot. Entered the restaurant and was warmly greeted by staff and immediately seated. Was seated next to a group of lovely and lively mature ladies that strongly appeared to have enjoyed their lunch/meals. This also made me feel like it was a good choice for lunch here. Waitstaff were very courteous, friendly, attentive, and helpful. They advised that there was no rush, to patiently go through the menu and possibly use the QR code (for the pictures of dishes) to help assist deciding what to order, and that they’re there to assist if we had any questions about the menu. Banchan served was just their kimchi and what appears to be baek-kimchi (white kimchi). Was also served hot barley tea, which was earthy and slightly bitter, but delicious and warming for the cold weather that day. Ordered and waited briefly while the dishes were served. Mandoo dumplings were hot, very delicious, and filling. Kalguksu with seafood was huge, very filling, not too spicy, and the flavor was ok. Haemul Soondubu meal was served very hot and bubbling. The stew was very flavorful, delicious, and filling. The marinated grilled pork served with that meal was very delicious and tender, too. Overall, the food was very good, but may be a little pricier for some, but can be worth it. Service was great. Restaurant was clean and spacious with a simple modern design. Atmosphere was bright, lively, and inviting.

Happy to have one literally five minute walk from me. This place is super clean and the staff is very courteous. All dishes is exactly what you expect from Myungdong however just a little bland for my taste thus missing the five star review.
Overall, very satisfied with this location, so please do not get me wrong. Tastes differ from every person. The seafood pancake is a must when visiting.
Plenty of parking parking, regardless of day and time of week.

I came here for the 3rd time yesterday with my boyfriend and the food still never failed to impress. We always order the seafood pancake and my boyfriend gets the seafood tofu stew each time. I like to try new things and each dish I’ve tried was really delicious. They also have a little button on the side of the tables to call for the servers. Not to mention they are really welcoming and are attentive. Would definitely come back another time.
(The pictures are in order of the times I came to this restaurant)

TLDR: Me likey. MD Noodle House is a classic from NJ. Get the mandoo, definitely the signature MD kalguksu and the bbq bulgogi.
I loved MD Noodle House when I first tried it in Fort Lee. Since then, it’s not quite the same but when I heard a new one opened in Queens – I had to check it out.
I think the new location has the quality NJ did when they first opened. Everything tasted really flavorful and was very frush.
I love their mandoo – it’s got super thin wrappers and PACKED with filling. I’d recommend getting the set for your first time.
The Signature MD Kalguksu is a rich chicken broth with lots of stir-fried onions, ground meat, more dumplings and silky chewy noodles.
The BBQ Bulgogi is not like your standard bulgogi. The beef is pounded out very thin and grilled like a flat burger. It’s thin, has lots of flavors and comes with a nice cabbage salad too.
I’ve been back several times and if you like clams, the one with the seaweed is good too. I am planning to revisit and try the tempura though – it looked very good last time.
