Waited almost 40 min in drive through. Got there at 4:40, didn’t get out till around 5:15… The people were really nice on the intercom, but when at the window they wouldn’t take my payment until I’d sat there 15-20 minutes. Oh, not to mention they wouldn’t do some of their menu items. Should be able to get fish with their new Wraps, but they would only do tacos? And the tacos were a waste… I’m not sure how they “should be” but two tacos is basically just 1 fish filet… As they took a single filet, cut it in half, and used each half for a taco. Don’t get me wrong, the Baja and sweet chili tastes really good, but that was one of the longest times I’ve ever sat in any drive through… It’s almost on par with taco bell in Circleville.. Where they only take a single order at a time..

I would like to know that this is the second guaranteed time in the last week that my family has stopped at long johns after church service right now I just left long johns around 8:00 15 or 8:20 it is now 8:22 and I go to order food this time and I’m told I can’t get rice because it takes 15 minutes and it’ll be almost closing Time by the time it’s done which shouldn’t have been a big deal because they still have a good 45 minutes of being open but not only that I wouldn’t have just complained about that but this is the second time this has happened the last time recently that we came after church which would have been Sunday evening my family wanted long johns and was told that at around 8:00 that everything was now made to order and it would be about a 10 or 15 minute wait and also that they were out of rice and that they couldn’t make more because it was close to closing time so I would like to know who runs this place and if you’re going to stop making food after 8:00 then you might want to close at 8:00 not 9:00 this is really frustrating this is one of my favorite restaurants and I’m getting really fed up with it if you guys are open and you have a good 45 minutes left to be open then why in the heck would you not service the customers that are there for food I don’t care if it’s one item or 20 or how much it is or not it’s not right it’s a laziness and I don’t like it highly unsatisfied maybe you should consider hiring new employees that don’t mind working while they are on the clock as long as they are working they are getting paid and if they’re not willing to do what the job requires or make food for the customers then I would replace them point blank end of story

We haven’t eaten at LJS for quite some time due to the food just not tasting very good. We decided to give them another try after we heard they were under new management and hired a whole new crew. I’m soooo glad we did!! The food is always hot and fresh, our order has been correct every time, and the service is always friendly and accommodating. We have ordered from this location 3 times over the last month and have been satisfied each time. Keep up the good work

They ought to be ashamed having the employees working in these type of conditions. The Air conditioner is broken im waiting for my food and i am literally sweating so bad. This is bad for business. Get some air conditioing on for not only employees but customers as well. No wonder the dinning room is empty!!!!

They open at 10:30 AM. Stood at the door till 10:39 Three workers looked at me and just kept On doing what they were doing not one time did they come and asked me what I needed. I called to see if they were open. They hung up the phone on me. Whoever is running this place is a joke

We decided to eat here today around 3:00 pm since we had coupons and glad we did. We ordered the two can dine and the spicy double cheeseburger combo. After waiting several minutes we received our orders. The food was hot and fresh and nice portions with great flavor and you can still get your own drink whenever you want plus refills in which many fastfood establishments are going away from this kind of service, so hats off to the person who prepared the food and the crew members that day, great job!

My first time ever eating at a long John’s the service was good for it being empty building seemed very clean (apparently they just opened back up) I don’t eat fish so I got a hamburger. Within an hour and a half I was puking. Extremely weak and lethargic left work early and even missed the next day due to food poisoning. Not sure how you mess up a hamburger but yall need to check your kitchen better. Day two and I’m still not back to normal. Don’t play around with peoples food!!!!

This restaurant is back open with new owners and employees. Their road sign is damaged, so it appears to be closed, but it’s not! The food was fresh and hot, the dining room was clean, and the staff was super friendly. It’s so much better than it used to be. Give them another try !

I hope Long Johns is still actively monitoring this. I’m sad to see it’s closed, and I saw all these negative comments left. Unfortunately you always hear the bad reviews and never any of the good ones. I just want you all to know any time I went there and placed a to go order, I never had any issues, the counter person was always friendly and polite and I got my orders, so I don’t know if y’all just saw the negative Nancy’s comments when that’s all you get that’s all you know. People are more apt to complain than they are to leave compliments. And for those of us that had no issues and enjoyed the food, I hope y’all just upgrade whatever preventative maintenance things that are needed and re open. If y’all close then there’s no fast food seafood options left in Portsmouth. I always enjoyed the fish, coleslaw, shrimp, clam strips, crab cakes etc. And that A&W Root beer! For all the long John silver fans in the area, please don’t close permanently!

1. The website has the hours listed incorrectly
2. The drive through speaker is broken. I couldn’t hear the cashier at all.
3. It took way too long to get to the window
4. They gave me a drink with no lid and said they’re out of lids
5. They didn’t offer condiments which I think is pretty important to remember to ask considering the type of food this restaurant is
6. They gave me no silverware.
The worker was doing his very best but management there is clearly failing. Do better for your employees at the least.
