This is a quaint restaurant. It felt upscale with the tables the linens & the flowers on the table. The server was attentive. The food was generous ,interesting and enjoyable, but it felt overpriced for what it was. My favorite part was the dessert. My biggest suggestion is to dim the lights way down for a more intimate experience. There was lovely live music ( Pics: Stuffed pork very tasty, traditional polish plate pierogies were very good, & traditional polish dessert. )

Amazing experience when my husband and I took my mom there for her Anniversary Dinner. We lost our dad in June and mom still wanted to do something special, so we (as a couple) have been to TOC a few times and loved it so mom was game. It was so wonderful from the beginning. We were seated immediately and offered cocktails of our choice, which were perfect. Our meals were delicious and hot. The dinner rolls were the best we ever had, and dessert was so decadent! The atmosphere was so charming and the staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Mom was so happy with the whole experience, and we toasted to dad and all the wonderful years they had together. Thank you TOC, we will definitely be dining with you again!❤️ ❤️

We stopped here for the Sunday morning brunch buffet and were very impressed. Service was excellent, food tasted great and had a good variety, and the atmosphere was traditional/classy. Buffet included an omelet, pancake, and lox station, fresh baked pastries, usual breakfast offerings, soup of the day, and rotating options (baked beans, veggie medley). Excellent live piano music was around for breakfast but it can be a bit loud in the dining room for conversation. All an excellent deal for the price, we’ll be back!

Stumbled upon the Old Courthouse online while visiting the area. Couldn’t get a reservation through Open Table. So, we decided to call. Jason kindly explained about their special “5 course wine dinner” and took our reservation.
The dining room appears to be the room where court would have been held. High ceilings and brick accents. Not much room between tables. But, the wait staff moved through easily.
We were greeted with a glass of prosecco upon our arrival. (Nice touch)
The wine paired with each dish came with a thorough explanation from the wine expert. And the cuisine was absolutely delicious! Each course carefully planned by the chef to compliment the different wines.
We were so happy to have this experience while visiting Newport. Thank you to everyone at the Old Courthouse for a fantastic evening!

Lovely place, cozy dining area, great staff. We went during Polish week (not purposefully but it was a nice surprise and a great opportunity to try some new-to-me foods) and it was absolutely delicious!

I finally visited here during Polish week. It is a darling, intimate place. Food was good, almost as good as my mom’s. I loved the dill pickle soup, I had never even heard of it. Service is probably better but they had a call in so only one young lady was running around serving and taking orders. She did a great job though. They accommodated us on the last minute so we were very appreciative.

The food was delicious with various dishes. The bottomless mimosa aspect was very fun. The only con was that the atmosphere is very baby shower-ish. Staff is friendly and attentive.

This was a wonderful experience. Like stepping into another world, with its classic Euopean decor and menu. I brought an artist friend and we both vowed to return.

The service, the crisp linen tablecloths, napkins, was like stepping into a time capsule and being transported to that rich aristocratic time when tea is served and retired gentlemen linger over long lunch.

There was a piano but no one played. The artwork on the walls and rich fabric draperies truly suit this wonderful, historic location.

Climb the steps from doentown Newport, or park adjacent. It’s so relaxing, you won’t want to leave. I understand they also serve a Sunday brunch.
