This road side burger stand has excellent food at an excellent value. The burger was delicious and the fries were crispy. The onion rings were perfect. The kids had grilled cheese and a hotdog. The food is priced incredibly and the little tables under the trees are very quaint. There are vegetarian options too

I have been going to Clamps for over 50 years now! I believe it has the same owners or family, same decent food, same clean roadside stand atmosphere, hidden gem. My adult children remember it fondly so I sent them these photos! and it is still the same. Quick service, little Oasis on the side of Route 202. Still no signs so don’t blink or you will miss it! It still seems like a secret getaway. The food is basic but always good. The prices are still reasonable after all these years. Find a comfortable spot under the trees and enjoy! Easy spot for kids and dogs while traveling.

I’ve been going here since I was a toddler in the late 1960s. Let me set your expectations, it’s a little pricy. Newsflash It has to be..it’s a one of a kind roadside stand open from May to maybe the week after Labor Day. The food is slightly above average and the Summer help ? Usually teens and marginally adequate. However , the quality of the food is above average and it’s not the reason you go. Think about it. It has no phone, no address and has thrived seasonally for 85 years. Locals are endeared and keeping coming back not only to support a local business. BTW the owner resides in Baltimore. They come back because of the atmosphere. You are in the last of America’s road side stands built out of need during the Great Depression. It’s an American story and use your higher mind to understand this, while you sit at a picnic table on a sunny country day in nature, sound of a babbling brook in the background and consume a made to order meal made just for you. Oh yeah if it’s raining hard don’t bother cuz they just might close!

This is a wonderful little roadside burger stand. The burgers and fries are great, but the onion rings are something special. The only downside is that the parking situation is a little tricky. Nonetheless, it’s well worth a stop.

I remember going here often in the 1950s when we lived in the area. I always remembered the best dogs & burgers but my momory placed it in Kent. Always a long line.

It was great to visit after all of these years and enjoy a cheeseburger with fried onions. The wife had a fish fillet sandwich as well.

Today I ate there for the first time and liked it. We got a burger, fries, fried clams, onion rings and a chili dog but I only ate the burger, onion rings, fries and clams.

The burger was good but was a bit dry. Otherwise it tasted fine. The fries were good and crunchy, and the onion rings were delicious. I didn’t like the clams because they were too tough for my teeth but I think that’s just me not liking tougher foods. I also had a soda and it tasted good alongside the burger, fries and onion rings.

I have been coming here my entire life. It is one of my top places ever. When I go on a Friday after lunch, after driving nearly an hour and a half, and they are closed, I am both disappointed and frustrated. The hours of operation on Facebook do not match those on Google do not match those on the stand.. When they reopen next summer, I don’t know how to trust that they will be open when I go. I love your quirky charm, but I don’t know how to commit to making the trip. And I’m not alone. As I sat in the parking lot, trying to figure out if I could communicate with anyone, it was a constant stream of cars, pulling in and then immediately pulling out.

Clamps was suggested by Collin from Clarke’s outdoors, the food was really good, my son ordered another grilled cheese because it was so good. Burgers are cooked to your liking and the onion rings and fries was on point. I would suggest you give it a try. I loved it.
