We enjoyed their fry calamari. They ere crunchy and went well with their sweet and sour sauce. Their Thai rolls were alright. It is our first time trying Pad See Ew with small rice noodle, and we are not a fan of that. Their portions are smaller than most places we have been to around the area, but their price are also cheaper. I personally like the pricing and the portion, so I don’t have to pay more just to take leftover home.

Went for the first time last night. They “ran out” of white rice??? My order was placed more than an hour before they closed and rice doesn’t take that long to make. I don’t understand running out of white rice.
My partner picked up the order and the woman told him she gave house fried rice in place of the large white rice with my order. Someone else in my household had ordered house fried rice and there was only a single container. It’s possible they gave extra house rice as it was in a different container than rice usually comes in, that piece is unclear. What is clear is that they thought it was appropriate to substitute rice with shellfish for white rice and didn’t bother to even check for allergy issues. You can’t substitute rice with shellfish for white rice! That is terrifyingly inappropriate substitute and anyone with allergies should avoid this place at all costs.
My parter went in to pick it up and hadn’t realized house rice has shrimp. I had to go back in because my meal was useless without white rice. Magically they were able to produce white rice in 2 minutes when I complained and said I needed rice or my money back. They brought out a large container, like I had ordered, tucked it in the bag and sent me on my way. When I got home it was as only a half off a container of rice. Cool love when restaurants just lie repeatedly and hide they’re not giving me what I ordered

Atmosphere: If you have any hearing sensitivity, skip this place — the acoustics make it feel like you’re eating inside an echo chamber. It’s so loud that holding a conversation is nearly impossible.
Food: The specials were especially disappointing. My dish was a tangled mess of noodles in a bland coconut curry with so many chili flakes that I was picking them out of my teeth. My boyfriend ordered a duck dish that was so salty he couldn’t finish it. Honestly, this was the worst Thai food we’ve ever had and that’s coming from someone who’s Asian and knows what good Thai food should taste like.
When we shared our disappointment, the staff mentioned that the restaurant is under new ownership. That might explain the decline, but it’s not an excuse for bad food. Whether they offer a comp or not, do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you’re used to authentic, quality Thai cuisine.

Decided to get off I-95 to have lunch and found Bangkok Spice Thai Restaurant on Google Maps. My first visit to Reading, MA, which was also really nice to see. The restaurant is on a quiet street off of Main. They have a simple menu where you can select your choice of protein, vegetables and sauces (served with rice), as well as variety of pad thai. I had the roasted duck in panang curry — the sauce was exceptionally good and the duck nicely done. The restaurant itself is small, but the seating was comfortable and they do a brisk take-out business. Street parking in front — no problem finding a parking space.

I’ve been going here for about 25 years and have never found a better place to get Thai food. The curries are delicious, the pad Thai, the coconut soup, and especially the peanut sauce. And all of the staff are friendly and efficient. It’s AWESOME!!!

We enjoyed a quick dinner here. The food was good. They scrambled to find menus, and the waitress seemed to be a bit overwhelmed, but everything happened fast, as we asked. Chicken Satay was good, but the pour some white sauce on them, which is not common, as some people prefer no sauce, or deep themselves.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to — a secret hole in the wall. Best pad Thai, vegetable spring rolls, and chicken satay! I only wish they would bring back that ginger soup they used to serve each customer before meals during lunch.

I always get takeout because the space is so small but the food and pricing are fantastic. This is the only restaurant I know of that hasn’t had price gouging since the pandemic. I highly recommend it
