Same recipe, methods and traditions that have never changed . Even using some original Dixie Cream Donut equipment from 1950′ era. Yes, we have the original Yeast Raised Glazed, Cake Donuts, Fritters and Long Johns that we made at the Orange Ave store. If you’re looking for coffee and donuts, we’re the one stop shop for you. And now on the menu is Cuban bread, hoagies and pastries.

I’ve made several afternoon attempts to Dixie Dream Donuts, unaware of thier early bird hours. The wait was totally worth it today. The selection is a modest, mouth watering mixture of confections. Today, I was able to pick up a half dozen assorted goodies including crueller, boston creams, apple fritters and glazed, and wow…such tender, moist and bold flavors. This is clearly a family owned operation who likely bakes all night to prepare for their 5:30 am opening, and I’ll gladly come back again and again. #supportlocalbusiness

Do not go here if you are concerned about eating too many donuts. These amazing puffy delicious donuts come in many flavors. My wife and I are hooked, and for whatever reason they are the 1st Donuts I have ever eaten that do not repeat on me all day.

Honestly, I’ve been coming to this place for years. They have a selection, but they’re always out of things and I’ve never had an offer for them to make anything ever. I know they have early hours, but I work overnight just like they do and it’s nice to have a doughnut when I get off, but it rarely happens Whenever I go in there, I just get something from my mother and get nothing for myself because they never have anything I want. They put too much glaze and sugar all over everything. To the point where it’s really unedible mostly.

The donuts here are amazing……when they have them. There really is no good time, we’ve tried to figure it out but it’s impossible. They always have tons of stuff left over but the most popular items they just won’t make any more of. Jupiter Donuts and Dunkin (across the street) have the cereal coated candy topped donuts done to death, why not make more of what you run out of??? We’ve tried all different times – early morning, mid morning, late morning, doesn’t seem to matter. Sometimes they’re making more, sometimes not there’s no rhyme or reason. We drive over an hour to get to this shop and it’s just not worth it anymore. We’ve made our last trek here, and I don’t think they will care either way, which is fine. The customer service is abominable, the girls at the counter either don’t care, don’t listen, or don’t understand but the service is just bad, plain and simple. It’s a donut shop so I mean I guess it isn’t that big of a deal but it’s extremely frustrating to feel like you’re just being ignored. I get our business won’t make or break them but as much as I love these donuts it isn’t worth the time, effort, or money for a sub par experience and not being able to get what you came for.
