Ordered two chicken burritos sat there waiting for 25 minutes for them to bring me a Chicken burrito and a beef burrito. I didn’t order beef the word beef never came of my mouth. I told the cashier the mistake then she went and had my chicken burrito cooked. I get home take a few bites and end up with a piece of steel wool in my mouth. Unacceptable and suspicious behavior, steel wool doesn’t just end up in a burrito, beware.

If you’re reading this, go enjoy home made, filling , & flavorful food! Papusa’s are our favorite dish to try at random locations and these were a top contender. fresh and flavorful. Bean & cheese is the winner for us. Taco Honduras was insane, crunchy, salty, and a hint of sweat on fresh fried tortillas . Think giant taquitos!!! Gordita with beef was also crunchy and balanced but not too heavy or oily. The fact that these are gluten free and filled us up for under $30 makes this a top hidden gem for me.

Hidden Gem – Delicious Authentic Mexican/South American Food

Date of Visit 7-18-2022

A last-minute decision to try a new restaurant resulted in a culinary delight for me and my two sons! Being novices to truly authentic Mexican/South American cuisine every dish was something new, except for the asada tacos.

The Pupusa Frijol Con Queso with cabbage salad and a medium salsa rojo were savory corn to tortillas stuffed with mozzarella cheese and mixed beans. A little cabbage salad and salsa on top made the perfect bite of goodness.
The Tacos Onduranos were delicious chicken tacos rolled up and fried with a cabbage salad on top. A savory crunchy and tasty dish!

The star of the meal was the Desayuno Tipico. Warm Corn tortillas that you fill with, refried beans, eggs over medium, asada steak, plantains, fresh cheese, and pickled vegetables. This seemingly crazy combination resulted a delightful new taste experience!

Total bill for 3 was $51.58 with tax, plus tip

I wanted to order some pupusas online but why are they $5.68 EACH???!!!! This is an outrageous price I’ve been looking at the other reviews of people posting their receipts (indoor dining) and their receipt says $3.50 each!!! They have 4 options to order online the top one is directly with them listed as preferred by business and the pupusas there are $5.68 each! I checked the DoorDash online order and there the pupusas are $3.68. It’s better to order in person to avoid being charged extra just be careful when ordering online!!

What a wonderful restaurant. The food was great – and for us gringos – not too spicy. The service was friendly and helpful – explaining what the menu items were as some we’d not see/eaten before. We even recommended it to some fellow travelers as we walked the Fellsmere Railroad Trail. We’ll definitely be back again.

Today was my first visit with my wife to this restaurant. We drove for 45 minutes from Melbourne. The food was really good, fast service, and not too crowded for a Saturday Night. Just one disappointment at the end, when the check came. The server never said anything that there were two totals: 1- One including an additional $2.79 charge if paying with Credit Card (they didn’t want to pay for it) 2- Minus (-) $2.79 if you pay cash. How many people carry that much cash nowadays? Second, the Gratuity was already included (15%), the server didn’t say anything about that either, and it was printed in Spanish but the rest of the check in English. I guess playing dumb or on purpose. You have to pay at the register. I gave my Credit Card and the machine made the charge. I asked the server/cashier about the tip and didn’t say anything about it. Not knowing what happened with the transaction machine, I took out $10.00 and gave them to the server. He said “Gracias” and end of the story. It wasn’t until I got home 39 miles away and 45 minutes driving, that I realized that the tip was already included but the server played dumb staying quiet. I guess this is his strategy to get an additional tip so he can keep it to himself. So, the moral of the story, I’ll never trust again anyone at a restaurant until I have everything clear on charges and for all of you out there, who were planning to visit this restaurant, to be careful not to become a target for this kind of dishonest strategy. We will never visit this place again.

This is a response to the owner’s answer: Paying for the Credit Card service fee and that the tip is included automatically are facts to be explained to the customers as soon their arrival before placing an order. The server could have told me that the tip was included when I gave him the $10.00 but he didn’t, he kept quiet. Sure, seems like you promote this kind of dishonesty among your employees. I’m sure he didn’t share the money with anyone else. Thanks for nothing.

This is a second response to the owner’s answer: I added a scan of the receipt that evening. The circled area in red is what you say that was written on the check in English & Spanish, “Propina Incluida/Service.” “Propina Incluida” is Spanish, “Service” is not the correct translation, it should say, “Tip Included” or “Gratuity Included.” Looks like your English sucks, you probably learned it from a little Booklet from a “Cracker Jack” box.

My wife and I had a craving for pupusas and decided to try this place since it was the closest to us. The food was fantastic—everything was fresh and made to order. We enjoyed an assortment of pupusas and split a fried chicken dinner.

While the service was slow, despite us being the only ones in the restaurant, the quality of the food more than made up for it. We will definitely be coming back!
