We recently celebrated our sons second birthday at Basil Indian Bistro, and the entire experience was truly exceptional and everything from the food to the service was handled flawlessly.
Hema, the owner, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She guided us with planning, decor, and every little detail, always with a smile. The staff was extremely professional, the space was beautifully clean, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.
The food was absolutely delicious. The gajar ka halwa was honestly the best I have had in years, and the chole were full of authentic flavor. What touched us the most was how thoughtfully Hema went above and beyond for our sons birthday. She even made a beautiful Hot Wheels themed cake, even though they usually does not customize cakes. It turned out perfect and made the occasion extra special for us.
We never felt rushed or restricted during the decor setup. Instead, Hema provided everything we needed and made sure we felt supported the whole time.
Overall, Basil Indian Bistro is one of the cleanest, most well managed, and genuinely welcoming Indian restaurants we have visited. It truly delivers on the promise it makes when you walk in. Highly recommended for both dining and hosting special events!

Visited this place recently and the experience was quite disappointing. The glasses were not clean and even had lipstick marks on them, which was a big turn-off. The curry was too oily and the naan was unusually thick, making it heavy. The taste was just okay only if you add extra salt and ironically, there was no salt or pepper on the table, nor any napkins provided.
The only positive was the ambiance, which was actually quite nice. But overall, based on the food quality and hygiene issues, I don’t think I’ll be going back again.

Absolutely delicious food. Probably the best Indian food my wife and I have had in Michigan. Especially their signature dishes were out of the world tasty. Also, the prices were fairly reasonable and portions were huge. Highly recommended.

We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Basil Indian Bistro, and it was absolutely perfect. Hema, the Owner, went above and beyond. She personally walked us through every detail leading up to the event and even decorated the banquet room for us.
The banquet space itself is gorgeous: high ceilings with unique hanging lights, beautiful marble tables, big windows, and plenty of parking for guests. We had just over 100 people, and it felt spacious yet warm and inviting.
The food was incredible with authentic Indian dishes that our guests raved about. For those who were less familiar with Indian cuisine, the Basil team thoughtfully prepared American-style pizzas and pastas so everyone felt comfortable and taken care of. The full bar (complete with specialty cocktails like a coconut margarita we’re still craving!) was another highlight.

All I can say is I don’t believe I ever truly had Indian food until I had it at Basil Indian Bistro.
WOW-Everything was wonderful!!!!
The food exceeded every expectation I had, it was if I was at a friends home and they were preparing a home cooked authentic Indian meal.
The restaurant is beautiful, clean, new and modern. The staff is warm, friendly, and accommodating to whatever I asked for (I asked the food not be too spicy). Oh, and the portions- well we had plenty to take home to get a whole other meal for lunch the next day!
I loved it so much I went back two days later, and again they nailed it!
As much as I always thought I enjoyed Indian food elsewhere locally, I truly don’t think I ever had the real deal until I was introduced to Basil by a dear friend!
Can’t wait to go back, again and again!

Hosted daughter’s 1st birthday party at this restaurant/venue. The staff were extremely attentive. Ownership was very good at communicating and working with us to host a wonderful event. They worked with us to bring our vision to reality based on our preferred birthday party theme. The venue, space, and staff were great. Highly recommend Basil Indian Bistro!
