The food was amazing. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. You can really tell the chef puts care and creativity into every plate! I am so excited to go back 🙂
Located downtown Dahlonega Georgia this is a don’t-miss place! The food is awesome, service even more amazing! Family style European cuisine at his finest.
I have been four times, two breakfasts, lunch and a dinner. They were all amazing.
And I will be back!
We ultimately picked Chef Paco because, of the three caterers we sampled, they were not only the best but they gave us more than we even asked for. There were a few dishes (one of which ended up as an appetizer at the wedding) that the chef felt we needed to try because they were particularly good but we hadn’t asked for them, so he made them anyway and let us try them for no extra charge.
For the rehearsal dinner (which my parents organized with Chef Paco) we had barbecue chicken and pork, and TBH I don’t remember what else my parents ordered because the barbecue was so good. Their spicy barbecue sauce is a real winner, I wish I had more of it.
For the wedding we got the following:
Grilled Shrimp Chimichurri
Classic Bruschetta
Mini Brie Tartlets
Raspberry Salad
Pan Seared Scottish Salmon
Creamy Parmesan Basil Chicken
Loaded Mashed Potatoes
Roasted Vegetables
An Ice Cream Bar
I hate salad, I never eat it, and the fact that I cleared that plate should really say something- my wife and I have been trying to re-create that salad ever since we tried it at the tasting and have not been successful so far. The salmon and chicken were both excellent, I didn’t hear any complaints from any of our guests. Swan Lake doesn’t have a kitchen, so we were worried that the chicken or salmon may have ended up dry as they often do when they sit before weddings- that didn’t happen at all, the main courses were absolutely perfect. The mashed potatoes were great, BUT there was one mix-up there- we had originally wanted them loaded, but they just made the garlic mashed potatoes. Which we didn’t mind because they were really good, and nobody else even knew they were missing out. I think of everything our least favorite were the roasted vegetables, they weren’t as good as I’d have liked, but with everything else being as good as it was I didn’t care and I don’t think anyone else did, either.
The appetizers were great too, I didn’t hear a single complaint about them.
The team was great to work with too; Bibi is really friendly and did a great job. She was generally quick to respond to emails and put up with us making multiple changes as we argued with my in-laws about what should and shouldn’t be had.
I’d attach pictures but I don’t think anyone took any because we were too busy eating the food.
