The one star is for the Shoyu Ramen.
Boy the shoyu ramen was so salty.
I drank so much water and I still feeling thirsty after coming home.
The noodle hardness was good but wish it was not as salty.
The place was super small. Parking is also small better to just park at Tozai plaza and walk over if you want to try.

Great food. Had seen this a few times and finally tried it. The place can host no more than 25 people. It has bar style seating as well as tables. Food has a great taste and quantity was more than expected. Fried rice was a large portion despite ordering the small size. Really nothing to complain about, the only thing is that they do not sell alcohol up this post.

My friend and I ate here for dinner on a not-so-typical Tuesday night. We were immediately seated and chose the bar area as we arrived at 7:30pm. The restaurant’s ambiance is certainly cozy and modern. I ordered a non-spicy Miso Ramen while my friend opted for Miso Butter Ramen with corn and chili oil.

Our orders were ready within 10 minutes and the lady behind the bar was very accommodating. She was kind enough to take a few pictures for us. The ramen bowls were truly appetizing and instagram worthy. The ramen noodles were freshly cooked, the vegetables were crisp while the pork slices were absolutely tender. At first, I thought I needed more broth, but it definitely had a perfect umami taste and realized the portions were just right. It legitimately tasted like the ramen I had in Japan a few years ago. On another note, I truly dig their decorations and dedication to Shohei Ohtani, our legendary Dodger! Thanks to my friend and wonderful experience here, Tomizo Ramen will now be my go-to restaurant for authentic ramen in the South Bay!

One of my favorite ramen spot in Gardena. Delicious ramen and excellent service. My go to is always the #3, Spicy Miso Ramen. Flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodle. Too bad they’re only open for dinner now 🙁

WOW!

This place is fantastic. I had saved it awhile ago and then found myself in Gardena last night and hungry. Luckily, at 8:30pm it was not that crowded and we got seats at the bar right away.

We both ordered the tsukemen ramen and waiting in the cozy environment of the restaurant. Once it came, it looked so good and tasted even better.

I really think this is the best tsukemen i’ve had in LA and possible ever. I am looking forward to heading here many times in the near future. Such a great place.

Equally, the staff is very friendly and helpful. This place is a gem!

The noodles are the packaged ones that are worth 50 cents. Not worth the price at all!! The flavor of the soup is really good though. Small parking lot. Would never come back here again. And they charge $1 extra for more spice.

Delicious, the rich complex broth, a warm hug on a fall day. Staff does a great job with service
Devoured most it. I enjoyed that rice; something about it was sticking to me. The hero miso butter corn scallop ramen was on point.

I recently visited Tomizo Ramen after searching for a highly-rated spot in the area, and I’m glad I did!

**Location:** Tomizo is tucked away next to the Nissan SUV Truck sign on West Redondo Beach Blvd, just a block before Western Avenue. It’s easy to miss since it’s in a small strip mall with limited parking for about six cars out front, but there’s additional parking around the building.

**Ambiance:** The restaurant is quite small and has a cozy “hole in the wall” vibe, which was perfect for my family of four. However, if you’re planning to bring a larger group, I recommend arriving early, as seating is limited. The atmosphere is enhanced by a playlist of Japanese music, much of which I recognized from various animes I’ve watched.

**Service:** The service was impressively quick and very welcoming. When we mentioned it was our first visit, the waitress eagerly shared the specials, including a lunch deal that featured a choice of side, coffee, and soup for just $18—a fantastic value! My daughter was entertained as the waitress played peekaboo with her, adding a nice personal touch to our experience.

**Food:** I opted for the Spicy Miso Ramen with a side of fried rice and a black coffee, which was included, along with a glass of water. I also added an egg and corn for an up charge. The broth was delicious on its own, but I couldn’t resist trying a few condiments out of curiosity. The pork was incredibly tender with so much flavor. It was falling apart at the touch of my chopsticks—and the noodles were perfectly cooked. I appreciated the little salad on top for some extra fiber and nutrients. The egg was just the way I like it—jammy—and the corn tasted fresh. The pork fried rice was flavorful on its own and paired well with red ginger, which I love. Overall, the ramen deserves a five-star rating. I’ll definitely be returning for both the food and the excellent service. Who knew there was such great ramen right in my neighborhood?

Atmospheric small ramen store. Opens til midnight. Got shoyu ramen, it was a little too salty; but price was phenomenal for 2026 economy, and amount was just right. Miso ramen was better.
