I go to the gym next to this café, and it honestly blows my mind that in an area packed with busy restaurants, this place is always empty. The second you walk in, it feels so dead you could literally shout “hello?” and hear an echo.
The food is mediocre, but the real reason this café is failing is the staff. The service is unbelievably slow and careless.
Today I walked into a completely empty café — not a single customer — ordered a slice of quiche that was already made and only needed to be reheated, and still waited 15–20 minutes. Twenty minutes to warm up one slice of quiche. In an empty café. That’s not “busy,” that’s pure incompetence.
And it’s not a one-time issue. I’ve also waited 10 minutes for a coffee while being the only person there. It’s honestly hard to understand what the employees are doing behind the counter, because it clearly isn’t serving customers.
If there aren’t serious changes immediately, this place will close — and it will be completely deserved. The reason it’s always empty is obvious: painfully slow service, zero urgency, and staff who simply don’t seem to care.

Staff is rude and lazy. I know, from going to the restaurant on jamboree, that they have always struggled to find and keep good people. The von karmen location is so bad, I won’t go back and I’m in that spot 3x a week.
I know everyone has a bad day, this has been my experience at this location 4 consecutive visits, so unfortunately it’s simply a people problem.

Drink quality was something I could get at a roadtrip gas station 🙁 staff was polite tho. mission viejo location has great quality, unfortunately didn’t translate to the Irvine location it seems.

Absolutely terrible service! Only come here if you want to get yelled at. I asked for a plate since I was planning to enjoy my sandwich in the cafe, and the manager yelled at me and told me he would give it to me if I asked nicely. I was really taken aback because I simply requested a plate. I was not rude in any way. The other employee apologized on his behalf right away as he saw the managers reaction to my simple request. I observed him and noticed that he’s rude with just about everyone.

Right by corporate offices. We went there at 3:45 pm, service closed for the day at 4:30pm. No one was there and pastry was not fresh. On top of that we had to pay $9 parking.

When this store first opened the Pandor team working the Lakeshore Towers was excellent. We were all excited, we had excellent service, food was prepared properly and on time. But it has changed under new management, not for the good. The new manager is irresponsible. I am hoping someone from this Corporate Company will be made aware before losing our business completely.
