The rice was absolutely phenomenal, most mexican restaurants have bland rice (only speaking from experience) but Mi Cabanita does rice right. The Chicken Enchilada was pulled chicken and it was very juicy and packed full of flavor. The cheese in the enchilada was also very good. The chicken and steak fajita’s were the girlfriends, and she also enjoyed her meal. I highly recommend this place and we will be visiting again.

The best Mexican in town is a tossup between El Torito and Mi Cabañita. I give Mi Cab’s the nod here because they have the friendliest staff (family owned and run!), a unique home-cooked twist to their menu, and a great atmosphere for dining. I’ve had a few things here and everything is excellent. Their nachos are perfection and their hot red sauce really grows on you.

We ordered the chicken chimichangas, the shrimp quesadilla, the choriqueso, and Mexican cokes. It was so incredibly delicious and our hostess/server was kind and attentive. The food is all homemade, including the chips, which are crunchy and delicious! We were extremely pleased with the food, the service, and the prices. The best Mexican cuisine we’ve had in the county.

Definitely the best tacos anywhere near Lafayette, and among the best I’ve had in the states, period. The place is humble but clean and the staff is extremely friendly. I’ve tried all of the tacos and they’re all delicious, served with fresh cilantro, lime and two excellent hot sauces. You really can’t go wrong here.

This is my favorite place to go to get Mexican food. It’s family owned, which I love. The customer service is wonderful- everyone is very sweet. The food is so fresh and authentic. Their salsa is wonderful, too! Also, if you are concerned about vegetarian options, Mi Cabanita has a delicious bean burrito that they make. They put fresh vegetables with it so it is not just beans in a tortilla.

We visited the city from 3 hours away for an event and found this restaurant. DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! The store front and the inside are not to impressive but, THE FOOD IS AMAZING! Best Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life. The Tilapia Tacos were awesome and the Nachos were fabulous.
