Sam Choy’s poke is newer to Redmond. Is the poke good? Yes. So go ahead and try the poke at this place out.

We ordered a rice plate to go. Plus this ube — The rice plate looked and tasted good. This ube was molded, severely — take a look at the photos. $5 for this….. Quite disappointed. I’m visiting from Vancouver, and my BIL took me here. This makes me question how your business is run if you are selling this molded. You should be regularly checking your ingredients/products to ensure they are fresh. The Saran wrap was double-wrapped so we didn’t see any signs of molding.

Nice to find a Hawaiian restaurant (on the east side) with authentic poke that is marinated just like back home in Hawaii. Far to many other poke places ask you which flavor you want to add to your fish. Those places & people don’t understand how poke is supposed to be prepared or taste. The poke here is good with my other favorite poke restaurant being Ono poke in Edmond.

I enjoyed the poke a lot. Definitely the closest to Hawaiian style poke you can get in this area. I would come back and try the other poke flavors. The ahi has the nice chewy texture of fresh fish.

I’ve tried this place 3x now and this is my last time going here. The tuna was not fresh and there were a lot of chewy parts. I feel like they may not be getting a ton of traffic and are keeping the fish too long. I ate about 1/3 of my poke and then threw it out because it’s not worth the risk of getting food poisoning. I got the half pound portion and side of rice, which is on the pricey side for poke, especially if you end up throwing it out.

Came here last night with my family. We have young kids and it was a good experience. It’s a tad high priced for the portion but with everything being so expensive these days I’m not surprised.

It’s super expensive for what you get ($20 for musubi? get out of here) and nothing is customizable. If you’re expecting the standard “subway style” Poke place, this isn’t it. In theory, I don’t mind curated options, but the quality of those options was a huge miss.

To start, I was a HUGE fan of the Sam Choy’s in Tacoma–in fact, it was one of my favorite places. So I was really excited to see the franchise expanding its footprint to Eastside. I tried Sam Choy’s a few weeks ago here, and the other reviews are right: this one is just not up to snuff. My tofu didn’t have nearly enough breading and sauce. Since they’re a new location, hopefully they can get up to speed with the others soon.

Bowls aren’t customizable and menu options are limited. The rice was unseasoned and tasted like plain white rice and everything else was really bland. I finished my bowl still wanting poke because I felt like I didn’t get the poke flavors you’d expect. Salmon tasted a bit fishy too and service was really slow. Definitely not worth almost $20 for a 5oz bowl :/

Oh, heck no! I went here to support our local businesses and ordered the Korean Fired Chicken. What a colossal disappointment. The chicken (if you can call it that) was a pile of small dry pieces of breaded “meat” with a red coating. I tasted nothing like Korean anything. I ate the macaroni that came with it and threw the rest away. The further insult is the high price of this food and the prompt to tip, beginning at 18%.
