We kept seeing double luck featured in Miami food blogs/socials, and when I saw its from the same people behind TamTam I had to try it— definitely the best Chinese food I’ve had down here in Miami. Heavy, as most Chinese food is, but if you’re in the mood for it, it’s excellent. I love that, even though all the food is heavy, it feels like it’s much better quality than any other Chinese restaurant you will try. The orange chicken is bell & Evans, breast meat only. The other meats are also from pretty decent farms. Overall i can’t see myself going here frequently simply because the food is quite heavy and it’s not soemthing I’d get unless I were craving it but this for sure is my favorite Chinese spot in Miami if anyone were to ask me. Food ratings —

Appetizer ribs: better than most places. He rates them a 7.5/10

Duck was 8.5/10

Chicken was 9/10

The fish for me was 7/10, not as good as tam tam but still good. (Not that they’re the same style of cuisine but the size and vibe is similar). Quite spicy

We also got the veggie fried rice bc we had to at a Chinese restaurant and it was unique bc it was very gingery but I prob wouldn’t get it again unless I was craving fried rice

5 star service— super attentive. It is not a super Luxe place, like you can dress up, but you could also go in a T-shirt and sweatpants… Which I love about a place, I don’t like how pretentious a lot of restaurants here in Miami have become

We spent close to $150 per person without alcohol, but that’s literally because we got enough food for six people even though we were only two. We just wanted to try it all ha ha. You could easily split just the duck or just the fish and an appetizer or side and be satiated here.

I had such an amazing experience at Double Luck! Everything we ordered was incredible. The Hennessy orange chicken was so flavorful and delicious. Also, the crab fried rice was great, and loaded with crab, which I loved!!

The crab rangoons, hands down the BEST I’ve ever had! Perfectly crispy on the outside and so creamy and packed inside.

If you’re looking for amazing Chinese food with great service, this is the restaurant for you! Everyone was so attentive and made us feel so welcomed.

One of the best experiences i’ve had eating at a restaurant in miami. It genuinely felt like they wanted us there and we’re incredibly patient, animated, professional and at the same time very casual while delivering a high class and quality meal. Highly recommend you try the Duck and the fried rice.

I came to Double Luck because of the hype and tried several of their most popular dishes. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed. The food was greasy and quite bland, lacking depth of flavor.
Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is casual, but overall the experience didn’t live up to expectations. Not sure I would return.

What a great find!

I came here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We sat at the bar. The bartender, Stefani, was amazing! So professional, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive… you couldn’t ask for a better wait person!
The ambiance is great. They were playing popular songs from the 80’s, but all sung in Cantonese!
Stefani recommended their frozen drinks. They were delicious!!! We especially enjoyed the passion fruit and gin one. I also had nice Sauvignon blanc.
We were given some yummy fried wonton chips to snack on while waited for our dinner. We ordered the crab Rangoon as an appetizer. It comes with 4 large Rangoon. They were delicious. The biggest Rangoon I’ve ever had.
For dinner I ordered the Hennessy Orange Chicken, since I saw it so highly recommended in reviews. It did not disappoint! The chicken was cooked to perfection! Not too much breading, as a lot of places do to their fried chicken. And the flavors were wonderful.
My niece ordered the spicy Szechuan beef noodles. It definitely has a kick to it. The beef was super tender! The sauce was really tasty. We really enjoyed everything!
Afterwards we tried the rice pudding. I’m not usually a fan of rice pudding, but this was SO yummy! It had a crispy sesame seed and rice crisps on top. SO GOOD!
The portions are pretty big, so we had lots of leftovers. Prices are also very reasonable.

Even the restrooms are cool! They have Chinese vinyl records on the walls and in one of them there’s a small TV playing Chinese movies.

I will definitely be back soon with my family and friends!

Great vibe and solid food. The crab rangoon was a little too creamy for my taste, but the crab fried rice, Hennessy orange chicken, and braised short rib were all excellent. Service was good, though our server pushed us into ordering more than we needed, one entree with the fried rice would’ve been plenty. Overall, definitely worth checking out, just order wisely.

The decor is nice and the food is decent, but I’m not sure this is a spot worth driving to. During a recent dinner, we tried the crab rangoon, shrimp, long beans, fried eggplant, and duck. Everything tasted good, but nothing stood out. It feels like a solid neighborhood restaurant, but not a destination worth the drive from Brickell or further south. The menu is also on the smaller side, and there’s nothing compelling enough to bring me back soon. I genuinely hope the restaurant does well, but I likely won’t return anytime soon.

A Neighborhood Gem with an Upscale Twist

This friendly neighborhood Chinese restaurant in Upper Eastside in Miami brings a refined touch to familiar favorites. It’s easily accessible with free on-site parking, and we were warmly welcomed by the hostess even without a reservation. The cozy interior adds to the inviting atmosphere, and the service was genuinely friendly throughout.

Portions are generous — especially the XXL Chinese Schnitzel, which is perfect for sharing between 2–3 people and a great choice if you’re looking for a non-spicy option. I really appreciated the abundance of fresh, flavorful vegetables and the well-balanced sauces in every dish.

One suggestion: it would be great to have a noodle dish on the menu that’s suitable for guests who prefer milder flavors.

All in all, I’d definitely come back — especially with a group of 8–10 to try and share a variety of dishes. A great spot for casual gatherings with quality food!
