I cant get enough of this place!! The food is very good and very light if that makes sense to anyone. I’ve tried their chilaquiles divorciados, taquitos Dorados, their enchiladas Verdes are the best! And they have the Mexican glass bottle cokes which are the best soda to drink with Mexican food. I place my orders with Uber and have not had a problem with portions or missing items.

We love walking to grab breakfast burritos or lunch here! The staff is always friendly, they have a wide selection on the menu, and there is plenty of seating. The corn tortillas are delicious too. They have a dedicated parking lot a couple houses down, but it clearly marked.

The carne asada fries are fire, the flavor of the carne asada was as if it was grilled in my grandparents back yard on a Thursday afternoon. Fresh and delicious. Great flavor. Definitely recommend. Parking was easy and very accessible.

The food is just okay, and the portions are really small for the price. I ordered panela with egg in green sauce through Uber and got only two tiny tortillas. The portions have always been small. Chilaquiles with eggs used to be $16, now it’s $21. Prices are high, but the portions don’t feel worth it.tortillas should at least be normal size.

So its my second time and last time my friend got mole chilaquiles and they were on point i only tried a bite i had huevos rancheros and on point same as eggs and soyrizo today. Breakfast typically comes with refried beans and potatoes in some delicious red sauce and other plates rice and beans. All delish definetly good portions and comfort food with homemade mexican flavor with hand made tortillas. Definetly reccomend.

The first time I heard of Cocina express was from a coworker ordering off of Uber eats, he said he was getting birria ramen and I was like “eww” and he was like don’t say shxt unless you’ve tried it, so I tried it and he shut me up right away, I had no idea something could taste so good

So I had the Cocido de Res it’s comfort food that you can only get in East L.A. My wife had the Chile Reyeno plate it was absolutely delicious. And both dishes came with home made tortillas. What else do I have to say.
