From our Towanda biscuit stacked with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese to a plate of hot chicken and grits, bacon, or sausage, every bite’s made from scratch with love. Grab a craft cocktail or something from our full espresso bar — we’ve got seasonal flavors that change with the mountain weather. And don’t miss our daily soups, always made fresh. We are locals but for some reason had never tried Betty’s. It was the first stop on a local food tour we took yesterday, and we were so impressed. The manager kindly greeted us and served us cocktails as they prepared our table. She also told us the endearing history of Betty’s. On our food tour, we were served a fried green tomato canapé. The chef even came out to personally describe the dish and explain how Betty’s sources local ingredients for exceptional quality. The food was amazing!!! I’m not sure if they serve the fried green tomato canapé on their regular menu, but if it’s a reflection of the other items they have to offer, I can tell you that we will absolutely be back! The atmosphere felt warm, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the food/cocktail were pure perfection. Well done, Betty’s. You’re doing all the right things. Thank you for such a great experience.

Loved the vibe at Betty’s Biscuits. I was on a tour with Blue Ridge Food Tours and Betty’s served us a decadent fried green tomato. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a really elevated fried green tomato compared to anything I’ve ever had. I hadn’t been to Betty’s before, but I’m definitely gonna have to go back and try the biscuits next time. If they were half as good as the fried green tomato I know I’ll be happy. Staff was so nice and manager even came out and told us about the history of Betty’s biscuits in Boone which I had no idea about despite living in Boone for 20 years. It was a fun experience!

If you love good food made with love, Betty’s Biscuits is a must. It’s right near Mast General and an antique mall across the street. So if you have to wait a bit for a table, there’s plenty close by!
I got the Side Hustle (biscuits and gravy) and my husband got the Butterbuster (chicken buscuit) and a Bloody Mary and all were great.
Not related to the quality of the restaurant, but I will add that parking was extremely difficult for us to find. All the lots nearby were full at 10:00 on a Monday morning. We ended up finding a metered parking spot about 4 blocks from the restaurant.

My daughter and I were visiting Appy State and we stopped at Betty’s for brunch. As soon as you walk in the door you are drawn in by the warm atmosphere. Food and service were great. We had a butternut squash soup and a breakfast bowl. Presentation was also very nice. I would certainly recommend trying it out and I would visit again next time in Boone.

I had one of the best breakfast experiences ever here. The grits are absolutely perfect — creamy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and everything tastes homemade with so much love. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. Betty’s Biscuits is an absolute winner! Their namesake biscuits are the star: flaky and fresh on the inside, with that perfect crisp, crunchy exterior. Seriously, you can’t leave without trying the savory sides—the grits and potatoes are a must-try. And don’t forget the accompaniments; the strawberry jam tastes like it was just made. Refined rustic. First time there woukd highly recommend. I ordered rhe side hustle and added an over medium egg. WOW. Not only did they get the egg right and spot on but the biscuit and gravy was served in a blue metal plate with beans sprouts and red cabbage with at first I thought was a Jalepeno. Not happy until I tried it. Light vinaigrette and a persimmon in it. AMAZING. Elevated that dish to a whole new level. They bring your bill in an actual book. Just a very great atmosphere and experience. Better bring an appetite because Betty doesnt make small biscuits lol.

Came in expecting just another breakfast restaurant thay serves biscuits. I was very pleasantly surprised. The entire menu is very farm to table. You know where I’ll the components come from. The dishes are beautiful and well constructed. The atmosphere was lovely and the server was on top of everything. Would definitely recommend.

This little brunch place was adorable! The servers were super sweet and even though we were the only people in the restaurant at the time, they did not make it awkward. I loved the potatoes and highllllyyyy recommend the fried green tomatoes! They were some of the best that I had in Boone. The prices were typical for a brunch place and with the quantity and the quality of the food, I was extremely happy!

This spot has great vibes, great service, and great food. I had a very filling pecky biscuit with a medium well egg (as recommended by my server) and the iced hibiscus tea.
The prices might seem slightly high, but the food is excellent quality and very filling. The tea was also SO refreshing.
