Such a great spot. Fast delicious food. Lobster roll was so good. Scallops were perfect with a light batter. The cocktail sauce is amazing. My kids got chicken tenders. They have something for everyone. We ate on the deck, with the sunset it was beautiful.

Cute little Clam Shack by the Breachway with a beautiful setting and outside seating with Cornhole set up for anyone to play. I ordered and devoured the Fish Sandwich that was a full fillet with tartar sauce and pickle combined, great combination that was unexpected. The bun was light and held up well considering most other places they fall apart. The fries are thick cut and seasoned well and I washed it down with a Dell’s lemonade. A bit disappointed with the clam cakes, they were light, not too doughy, and deep fried perfectly, but unfortunately they were very bland. The clam chowder was good but I felt like it was missing something. I would definitely go back to try more from their menu and bonus, they serve alcohol!

Bunch of “no price” items listed on menu. No one welcomes you when you stand in front of menu to order. Long wait time to order. No bathrooms, just a super gross porter potty with no toilet paper for the girls. Didn’t eat food; instant bail after seeing the mess in the bathroom and found much nicer place down the road.

Loved this spot. My brother and I had just finished a long hike over 5 days, took a swim in the ocean, showered, and then came right to the clam shack. We ordered the clam strip platter, which was fried clam strips and fries with cole slaw on the side, and tartar sauce and ketchup on the side. We also got some rum drinks. I ordered the Bahama Mama shack drink special and it made me instantly relaxed and happy. The fried clam strips were delicious and obviously very fresh! The people working the restaurant were very friendly and gave us advice about how to find a ride to the Amtrak station. Service was fast, and the outdoor patio was shaded with a nice ocean breeze. Perfect way to end a long hike. My brother and I lingered on the deck a while and ordered another round of rum drinks before we headed on our way. Thanks clam shack!

Place seems nice and there is always a good smell coming from it. I got clam chowder and fried calamari. Chowder was thick and flavorless and fried calamari was soggy! Very disappointed. They have good French fries but that’s about it

We discovered this place in 2024 while visiting family, it was amazing!!!! Fried calamari and Fish and chips could not get enough! Came back last night (2025) and was very disappointed!
It was so bad that I couldn’t eat it! Batter was very different from last year , tasted like sawdust or baking soda? And like very old oil!

Very disappointed. We went to the Clam Shack near Charlestown beach. They had no clams or strips ( haven’t been busy due to lousy weather)! I got a scallop roll ($18!). It was mostly bits of scallops and batter! I tried one of the clam cakes and it was very bland with almost no clams or flavor!!! So so disappointed!!☹️

The reason I am giving this place a 1 star has nothing to do with the food but everything to do with the pricing! It’s absolutely ridiculous! And on top of that the worker at the register wants a 15% tip. The food was great but I will not be back due to price gouging! To claim it’s anything less than price gouging is complete BS! We spent $80 for a roadside lunch for 2!

I stop by your establishment on 8-6-22 Saturday. Order a Fish Sandwich. W/ Fries. It was so good I order a second one to bring home and share it with my wife. The sandwiches had a good size of fish. And the fries were good also. And we both agreed. Thank you to the young lady at the window very polite.
So we decided both of us will go again. 8-7-22 Sunday. We were both very disappointed. We ordered the same. One had a nugget of fish. No tartar sauce. Mostly I paid for Bread and Lettuce. Second one had two finger size fish. And both had very little fries. We ate. I got up. I notice inside the pick up window were 4 males. I told one of them about my experiences. All he said was “I’ll tell the cook” . Very poor answer. Specially a customer who paid $45.00. I believe any restaurant who strives on consistency deserves 4-5 stars.
