One of the best crudos I have ever had, and the sushi was a hit with everyone. Especially the crunch roll with the miso honey brûlée glaze done table side. We tried just about every cocktail between all of the adults at the table and enjoyed every single one.
I will say the ribeye was a bit fatty, even by ribeye standards. Wonderful flavor, but a solid quarter of the steak was non-rendered fat. However, the whole branzino may be one of the best preparations I’ve ever had. There was lots of truffle oil usage, but it honestly added a nice umami and richness to many of the dishes.
My wife, who is not usually one to crave chocolate, absolutely loved the Klondike-style flourless torte cake dessert. And everyone agreed the salmon and tuna belly nigiri were absolute explosions of flavor with buttery texture.
Service was excellent, with Bryan taking great care of us while he was in training. We will definitely be making this a regular stop when we are in the area.
Do be cautious though; this is not a place to go with any sort of budget in mind. We spent well over $200 per person. If you were frugal, you might get out for $100ish.
The ribeyes were cooked to perfection, the sea bass was delicate, flaky, and delicious, and the wagyu fried rice completely stole the show. It’s served in a sizzling hot stone bowl and mixed tableside with seasonings and crispy garlic—such a fun and flavorful touch. The sides were equally impressive: Parmesan fries, Brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes that might honestly be the best I’ve ever had. We seriously debated licking the bowl clean.
We left full, happy, and already talking about our next visit. And don’t skip the pornstar martini—it comes with a sidecar of prosecco and is absolutely fantastic.
Our reservation was at 8:00 PM, and we were seated around 8:50 PM. To be fair, the first ten minutes were due to not all members of our party arriving on time, but we were not aware that everyone needed to arrive together to be seated. That part was frustrating. However, once we were seated, the restaurant completely turned the experience around.
Our server, Eric, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, kind, professional, and truly made us feel taken care of. Because of the delay, the restaurant brought us a few complimentary items, which was very much appreciated. Every dish we ordered was delicious and exceeded expectations.
By the time we left, I was genuinely happy despite the late seating. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you walk in. The security staff member at the door was welcoming, the hosts were kind, and the servers and bartenders were incredibly attentive and friendly, especially considering how busy it was.
Overall, this experience showed me that even when things go wrong, CATCH knows how to make it right. Highly recommend.
The hostess, while not overly warm, was professional and handled their role efficiently. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made a point to share the specials, which we appreciated.
The food and drinks were both very good in quality and presentation. However, it’s worth noting that the portions, both cocktails and entrées, are on the smaller side. While we don’t mind paying premium prices for an elevated dining experience, the value may feel limited given the portion sizes.
Overall, Catch delivers on flavor and atmosphere, but guests should be prepared for higher pricing and modest portions.
The sushi was outstanding, particularly the sashimi and nigiri rolls which are comparable to the best sushi restaurant in Scottsdale. I also tried the steak which I recommend if you’re wanting a surf and turf type of experience. The cocktails were another highlight: creative, balanced, and crafted with real attention to detail.
On top of all that, the service was exceptional.
Highly recommend Catch Scottsdale for anyone looking for great food, amazing drinks, and a great setting!
I tried two of the nigiri’s, the Blue Fin and albacore and they were delicious.
I also tried the wagyu gyoza which were also excellent. One of the stand out appetizers is. The truffle sashimi was a standout. Beautiful and delicious dish.
Perfect spot for a date night, celebration, or a night out with friends. Catch Scottsdale absolutely nailed it and I can’t wait to come back!
Would definitely recommend.
