I love Wawa but this store needs help. Every single time I order anything it takes close to 45 minutes. Every single person is stuck in slow mode they can have 20 people waiting and will carry on laughing and playing around with each other. I ordered two coffees at 10:49, and waited until 11:35 and they still don’t have them ready. Why would i wait 40+ minutes when I can make them at my house in 15 minutes? There’s no queue to site how much longer. I asked to have them ready by 11:00 because, I have people waiting on me. I didn’t come here to wait for basic products on a Saturday night.

I’m a Northerner, and Wawa is nostalgic to me. The store is usually pretty well stocked, and I’ve never had a rude interaction with an associate personally.
However, to the associates at the hot food bar, some advice and a plea. The meat placement on the sandwiches…. Well, it is an area of improvement.
Consistently, the condiments will be on one section of your hoagie as if it is a Chipotle burrito.. and you don’t need to lay the cold cuts in pile like a deck of cards in the dead center of a loaf of bread. Spread them out, air is flavor. Please, sandwich making is an art. Every single time I’ve gotten a sandwich, I need to open it up, and take it apart, and remake it myself.
Look at how the pictures of hoagies look around the store. Laying the meat completely flat and in the dead center all on top of each other is not a good sandwich. My request- Spread out the cold cuts and fold the meat. Even a little bit.
The quality of the food and freshness is wonderful, but a little more care can go into the actual construction. Respectfully, I’m sure that they are being rushed by management, and hey management – that’s bad. It’s resulting in bad sandwiches. Don’t rush your associates, let them take a little bit of time. A good Wawa sandwich is worth waiting for.
Update: Still making sandwiches poorly. Please address this, I paid for this and once again had to take it apart and make it myself because actually eating it and it’s a major inconvenience. I get the 5.50 combo with Mac and cheese this point I have to pick the sandwich based on which one I think they could maybe make. But even my cheesesteaks get squeezed the hell out of and I open them up and it’s a mangled sandwich.

This is my local Wawa and I’m always taken well care of. Our food is always done well, clean environment! It is a very busy Wawa but they always are well composed. I just want to thank Sarah for being such a sweet employee!
