The best Chinese fried rice and noodles in Nanaimo. Great prices and value for their fried rice and noodles. I haven’t tried their other menu items, so I can’t rate that part. I like how they are open until 11 PM as most restaurants are closed by 8 or 9 PM.

Have ordered form here for years, even after moving further away. It was the only place that I have ever enjoyed spring rolls from. Unfortunately, they changed the spring rolls and now they are doughy inside and nowhere near as good. Bring back the classic please!

Our first take out order in Nanaimo. It is not a place to go to for dine in. They only do take out. You will get a 10% discount if you pick it up by yourself. But if you cannot, you pay the regular price. You can pay cash or card when ordering by phone upon delivery.
The good thing here you can order before 12 midnight.
I love their fried rice, and their curry fried rice. I dislike their almond chicken, though. Their chow mien tastes all the same even though you ordered different varieties.

We had food here once before and it was one of the best Chinese food we’ve had. Tonight rice was watery and the chicken was rubber strips and couldn’t be considered chicken. We called to ask what happened and the lady said it was too expensive for real products… too bad still looking for good Chinese. We Even tipped a lot for this disappointment. Worst experience in a long while…

Enjoy most of their stuff, especially the spicy fried tofu and hot and sour soup…. but if you order some of their noodle dishes, like Shanghai noodle, they give you literal spaghetti pasta, which is extremely disappointing. If I wanted that I would dig into my pantry, otherwise very tasty.

It’s not that it’s bad…. It’s just the same as you can get at QF.
I show a side by side of the pic on the website and the pic on my plate. The egg role was definitely just some chicken ball batter with some chow mein in it. So greasy. Couldn’t eat that. Was hoping for the pic they showed. The chow mein was dry and bland but the sweet and sour pork was good.

The food we picked up was done perfectly. Never disappointed.

Dover Chinese food is a family run business. They are the hardest working family I know.
The food is the freshest and tastiest in town.
As a vegan, I love their tofu dishes. The veggies are never soggy, but still have their crispness.
The sauces are mind tingling good.
I’ve tried the rest, and I always come back to the best. It’s worth the drive to pickup the food from across town.

This little Chinese takeout is near my daughters and I suggested we try it one evening as a treat. I enjoy Chinese food and was really excited to have some basic fried rice, beef and broccoli and Szechuan beef. We were so disappointed- it was terrible… every dish. I was really confused, as they were so busy. I love to leave good reviews but this place really needs to up their game.
