The food is amazing! I first tried vegetarian tacos (new item they added after I asked if I could get tacos with beans since I don’t eat meat). The corn tortillas are made from scratch and filled with yummy ingredients to make for a scrumptious taco. I did add cheese and guacamole, so good. On Wednesdays only they serve fresh made tamales which are fantastic! I got the cheese and veggie…what a delicious, filling meal. Cooked in corn husks, perfect flavor and texture. My friend had chicken enchiladas with red mole sauce and said they were very tasty! The staff is incredibly friendly, prices very reasonable, and food simply delicious…so happy to have found this great place for authentic Mexican take-out!

My husband and I went after reading about it in the Gazette. We loved it! He had a Carne Asada burrito which he said was much better than what we’ve been getting elsewhere for years. I have chicken enchiladas in red mole. Great taste and texture, and the sauce tasted very “roasted” in a good way. We had “juniper water” which they had for self service next to horchata, and they allow people to try a sample first. This was new for me, kind of like grape juice, but more tart, and I enjoyed it. Definitely authentic. Tamales only Wednesdays, and they are only open 4 – 8pm (Naval Bagels is open earlier in the day, so they only have one or the other open.) They were busy when we were there. Prices not bad a lot of things $12 – $13 (for four hearty enchiladas, and for a stuffed burrito). People are very welcoming and will modify items where possible.

Great food! Delicious Birria tacos. Horchata was authentic creamy and tasty. The chips and guac were legitimately some of the best I have ever had. Will 100% be back and highly recommend this new spot. If you like their bagels in the morning you’ll love their fantastic Mexican food at night!

We’ve been waiting for a place to possibly replace our “quick Mexican food bite” cravings for Chipotle, and I think we’ve found it! It’s especially good timing since Chipotle seems to be getting more and more expensive for arguably worse quality. The food was quick to come out and overall very good.

I got the birria burrito and my wife got some asada tacos. Both were very tasty, and the salsa it came with kicked our butts (in a good way). Super tasty, and pretty spicy (even the milder Verde one). Both tasted very fresh.

Staff is very friendly and excited to serve take out orders, which was expected based on our experience with Naval Bagels.

I’m glad we now have a better, closer, and neighborhood-friendly replacement for Chipotle!

Edit: Went again. Food was much better. They discontinued the dish I was previously unhappy with. The quesadilla was excellent. Service staff are friendly, the atmosphere is super casual, and the food is appropriate for the price.

Still don’t like the payment system. Cashless, and asks for a tip before you are served your food.

Edit 2: Ok, they won me over. They had some kind of burrito special that came with churros for $10. Burrito was excellent and smothered in some kind of excellent red sauce. You aren’t going to beat what they served me for $10 within miles.

Everything was amazing. I’ll start with the enchiladas. Perfectly cooked chicken wrapped in warm soft tortillas, dressed with a perfectly balanced sauce that was the exact right amount of spice and flavor. The horchata was creamy and smooth, with a perfect amount of cinnamon and sweetness.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any bette, they have hats, shirts, and stickers. I bought a hat and it is the most comfortable hat I’ve ever worn. Fits perfect, and has plenty of room to get bigger or smaller.

10/10 would go again, probably later tonight and a couple times tomorrow.
