I visited this afternoon and the place looked clean. My complaint is about the worker Avery. I saw her cough on the food, not cover her mouth, and reuse the same gloves after coughing. The food she made for another customer looked sickening, and made me question the hygiene standards. It’s concerning that she wasn’t instructed to wash her hands or cover her mouth. Everyone else was friendly and had better hygiene practices, but I won’t be returning after what I witnessed today

I ordered a BLT and they said they dont have BLTs on the menu. lol. I’ve been ordering them at Subway for 15 years and the person working acted like I was crazy to mention it. I’m not going back to this location since they don’t even know what is on the menu.

The two ladies working the counter on 3/20 afternoon were great! I needed to work and use one of the booths while eating lunch. They helped me find an outlet and helped with smiles and a customer friendly attitude. Thank you for helping me keep working. Will come back again during my travels because of those two! The food was usual Subway fare but good.

The staff is 4-5 stars; they’re generally friendly and do a good job. But he franchise owner barely gets one star. In my opinion, handling mistakes is what differentiates a good restaurant, so that’s why two stars.

Short version: the franchisee is lazy and uncaring. Eat here at your own risk.

I used to get carry-out sandwiches here pretty often. I get my wife a veggie sub on Italian bread every time. This most recent time, though, the sandwich was made on pita bread with melted cheese and some kind of sauce – which is a completely wrong thing. Fine, people make mistakes, but I’m owed a replacement. It’s over 25 miles round-trip to go back, so I use the “contact us” to see if it can be made right.

I got an obvious impersonal form letter back from the franchise manager with no detail about my specific situation. I guess this happens a lot, since he clearly has no time. The letter offered a coupon for a free sandwich. Ok, I guess that’s the bare minimum one can do, though “also a cookie” or some similar trivial token for the inconvenience of my wife not getting lunch would’ve been nice. When I replied to the email with my mailing address, I got a bounce message. Apparently the manager CC’d an invalid email. Great use of tech there.

When I got the coupon a few days later, it’s only for a plain six inch sub; any extras are not included. The sandwich that was screwed up had extra cheese, which was obvious from the receipt info that I provided in the form – but remember, he has no time to actually read feedback. So, now I have to actually pay for this replacement sandwich. And the coupon won’t work in the mobile app, of course, so I also get to go stand in line instead of getting in and out.

Yeah, it’s only a dollar or whatever, and just a few minutes in line. But the point is that this whole experience reeks of not giving a damn about the customer. Gibson City is a small town, and people have only a couple of options. I can only assume that the owner is banking on that to stay in business instead of pretending to care. Well, this will be the last time I visit. I live almost as close to Bloomington and Leroy, so I’ll be going to those towns instead. After finding out who owns those franchises, of course.

I suggest you do the same. If anything goes wrong at this particular Subway, you’re not getting it fixed.

I did an online order today, always easy to do to be able go pick it up and head home after work. It wasn’t a big order just 2 sandwiches made differently. And of course my sandwich was fully made wrong. It was a BLT with just cheese and veggie toppings no sauces or anything. I live 25mins away from Gibson. And since it was an online order I didn’t think I needed to check it. So I got home and my BLT was made like the other sandwich I ordered (and that one was suppose to be a 6in and it was a footlong also) and it was missing it’s cheese which i paid for double cheese. I dont get sauces because I dont like any and add my own at home. I couldn’t eat my sandwich. I tried calling the store multiple times no one would pick up the phone at all. And the mailbox is full so can’t even ask to be called back. And I’m not going to drive all the way back and waste my gas. I’m so tired of someone messing up my order. Literally had a paper in front of you to read the toppings and everything and did not read it correctly at all. Guess another place I will never return to yet again.

Prices are high but we came in late after a school event and even though they might have been close to closing they served us without complaint.
Although one guy did give us banana peppers when we asked for bell peppers but same dude had trouble with the register so I think he was new

Employees were rude and got mad at 12 yr old because they didn’t follow the instructions on the online order asking for the 2 footlongs to be wrapped as 6 in subs since was going to different people. Didn’t call to say was out of type of chips ordered and just gave her 2 of the same. She took sandwiches back in and asked for them to be wrapped seperately as requested on the receipt and they just put them in 2 bags. Only had 2 other customers in store so wasn’t super busy.

Ordered ahead as I only have a 30 minute lunch break. My order was not even started and I came 10 minutes after when the order indicated. Several customers who came in after me with no preorders were given their food before me. If I hadn’t payed I would have left. It would have been quicker just to stand in line

My wife and I took our three grandsons there for lunch today and had a total bill of $80 +. The buffalo chicken sandwich was uneatable because of the amount of sauce put it, rendering the bread totally soggy. We asked for another half of white bread to remake the sandwich. We thought that after spending $80 we would have been given a new piece of bread. Wrong. We had to buy a half piece of bread for $6.00. After some lengthy discussion with the manager on our way out did he offer us three cookies as compensation. This was very poor customer service for us noting that we are frequent customers

The Subway in Gibson city has a nice atmosphere. The young people employed there were kind and quick. There were handful of customers and they handled each customers request with patients and they got our orders correct.
