Welcome to How You Brewin! We’re a Long Beach Island-based coffee company. We currently have two shops, one in Surf City and the other in Barnegat Light, and an online store. I didn’t expect to have the majority of my meals to be at a coffee shop. Fresh delicious salads, amazing coffee, and the best thing on Pompano Beach, aside from the beach, from the vibe with indoor and outdoor seating, customer service, and delicious food and coffee. The caramel frappe was the best drink of my life! Grateful to Velasia from Marriott who recommended it. She deserves a free treat bc I went every day on vacay! Can’t wait to go back to How You Brewin!

Iced salted caramel latte is fantastic!! They have an express bar for quick drink order or full service for food. Plenty of seating options indoor and outdoor! Pretty busy but it’s a pretty quick wait.

I really love the flavored coffee beans here, they’re a nice treat to have in the morning coffee rotation. The other menus items they have are good too (I’ll occasionally get lattes, cold brew, etc and never disappointed). Atmosphere inside is nice and open, you can sit and enjoy a coffee + conversation without being crammed next to other people. Anytime I’m visiting LBI I like stopping by here. I have to dock a star though, for the fact that the bags of beans don’t tell you when they were roasted, nor the origin of the beans (outside of maybe the 1 or 2 single origin options). They write the date they were bagged, but even the larger sacks that they are bagging them from don’t contain roast date. Can’t really be a respectable 5-star coffee spot without supplying roast date and bean origin to your customers.

Five stars for the coffee, service and atmosphere. All three are consistently great. My husband and I drive forty minutes to get here. Enjoy sitting outside; when finished with our cup of java, love to take a walk to the beach located at the end of the block. No matter how busy they get during the summer, the wait is never too long. Some of our favorites: Java chip (great flavor), cappuccino, chai latte, cafe mocha (hot and cold) and iced coffee. A few bakery items; light and healthy lunch options are available as well.

I ordered 2 of the sample packs for gifts for Christmas. They come with the beans already ground but there was an area to request that the packs be whole bean instead. I requested both boxes be whole bean. The order arrived in a timely manner, my request was honored, and they took the time to package it so nicely! Each sample pack was packed in a sturdy white box with red and white paper. There was also a thank you note personally written on the invoice. Such a nice touch on the shipment! My gift recipients are very much enjoying the coffee as well!

Excellent coffee OK bagels really nice staff really nice inside but very crowded. So get there early or the Express bar which could use some decaf but overall great coffee and worth the trip almost as good as local.

There’s not much I can say about this coffee shop that you don’t probably already know. You don’t need to take it from me to know that How You Brewin is amazing…just look at the consistently long lines they have, not even just in the summer season. I’ve been a huge fan of HYB for a long time and it is always a staple of my trips to LBI. I always make sure to visit at least once (or as many times as my wife allows ). There’s something about HYB that is such an important part of the LBI experience for myself and dozens of others.
However, I had never ordered food until recently. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of what my friend and I ordered and the overall great taste. I will definitely be coming back for lunch again someday.

Great coffee spot, some street parking available. There was a large line on a Sunday morning but it moved very fast. Atmosphere is wonderful with plenty of places to sit. There is a lot of to-go coffee beans as well (they even grind it for you if you ask). Menu is expensive with both food and drink, we stuck with the cold brew. Cold brew was flavorful and delicious. Overall great experience will definitely be back

The pastries here are seriously next level. I never can stop myself from getting a Blondie, and one of their amazing cookies! Not to mention the crazy biscotti that I always have to get for my mother.
The coffee is great & I love The seasonal lattes, the s’mores one is one of my favorites with real marshmallow!

Big cozy cafe! The drink I got was really sweet, but still good! They have an express bar if you just want simple hot coffee quickly! And the bagels were sooo good!
