Pretty excellent spot to post up at day at Mazunte. There’s a minimum spend of about $200 pesos. The food and drink are decent, better than most beach spots but the service was slow due to a busy section and only one server. Good place to swim.

The worst cocktail I have ever tasted…..we ordered 2for1 on passion fruit margs. This green monstrosity arrived. Wouldn’t of bothered me if it had some alcohol in it and tasted nice. It was like a glass of dish soap with a hint of passion fruit syrup. We complained, the guy went to ‘fix’ the drinks, which apparently had blue Curacao in them for some reason…brought them back unchanged in a different glass. Moral of the story is if you want to sit on their nice red chairs, stuck to the beers.

This restaurant on the beach is just DIVINE! We had the garlic shrimp – all of the dishes come with chips, salad & rice.
Options are based on what is available – especially fish as it’s whatever is fresh that day.
Portions were amazing, the service was wonderful and the view is unbeatable.
Definitely go here!!

We were on the hunt for a restaurant on this beach and after talking to some guests who had just eaten here we decided to sit and enjoy a meal. It was so delicious, we came back the next night too!
The owner/ chef is delightful and knows how to cook prawns and hamburgers to perfection.

Delicious fresh grilled whole snapper. We also tried the stuffed avocado w shrimp and it was amazing. We prefer to spend our beach day at Playa Rinconcito, but this place is worth the 3 min walk over to Playa Mazunte for lunch.

My glass wasn’t washed- it had lipstick on it. Frappe iced drinks weren’t blended. Bland food. Worst of all, the fabric overhead to block out the sun looks solid from a distance, but you can see the sun right through it when you’re close. It lets sunlight through and maybe even the plastic acts as a lens to magnify it. We were burned to a crisp, thinking we were protected. We saw the same thing happen to another unsuspecting couple. Two other days we were at the place right next to it (first place on the beach. Closest to the rocks.) Which has really good food (the best we had in Mazunte) and thick umbrellas for solid shade. Go to the first place, not El Pescador!

Highly recommended. During our month in Mazunte we were here six times. Fantastic, personal service. Always great, authentic food. Best spot on the beach to chill all day and sometimes even late into the night.

Love this place. Sat outside here everyday for a beach chair. Great food and drinks. The servers are friendly. Reccomend the shrimp ceviche or guacamole with cheese. Best micheladas in town!
