Terrible service from a bartender named “Grace”. Watched us walk in, on a Friday night at 8:45, only five other people sitting at the bar, turned around and continued talking to the other employees for a solid five minutes before looking back at us sitting there with money out waiting for a drink. Acted like we were putting her out by ordering a vodka tonic. Said not one word to us, not even a smile. Totally ignored me when I said “excuse me” three times after waiting another five minutes after my first drink was gone. Finally my wife had to go around to the other side of the bar and let her know I was trying to get her attention while she gabbed with the other employees. Finally ordered the second drink and it was vodka and sprite, not tonic. She acted offended when I told her. Still never said one word. Is she mute? Lousy place, never again! Here’s a picture of her ignoring me while I write this review. Why on earth would any bar owner have their worst bartender work the best shift?

We arrived and excited to eat at this little pub. It has a great view and was referred by someone. We arrived and sat down. There was only one waitress which we understood would need time to get to us for drinks. Another couple comes in and because she knows them took their order first. She finally came to us, explained “it’s just her bare with her”. Us-Ok got it. She took our drink order. A party of four came in. The waitress refills another glass for a customer. She delivers drinks to the couple that came in after us. Still no drinks. She starts preparing 3 more drinks. When I saw the liquor she picked up not being what I ordered. We decided to leave. Based upon arrival we should have been next in line. It’s clear she was getting the order for the party of four. It’s disheartening to see this in Oconomowoc. It’s a first bad service review I’ve left since moving from Atlanta. But note to the owners- the waitress needs to prioritize who comes in when. It’s not serving your friends first. You lost very good tipping customers tonight. Sorry but you get a one star. . .

Friday night fish fry – food very good, waitress service terrible – no check back or asking if we need more drinks, did not come back after leaving check, had to go to bartender to pay who found waitress. She never said thank you – only that she needed the top copy. Next time will probably eat at the bar. Bartender service was great.

Great fish fry with thick pieces of rye bread, onion rings, and potato pancakes. Friendly neighborhood bar vibe. First time there but I’ll be back. Oh. Good selection of on tap beers too (NOT just IPAs).

The new owners of Golden Lake Pub have kicked it up a few notches with some delicious meals. We had their grouper on Friday August 19 and both of our meals were delicious. Just had their crab cakes Benedict and those were over the top delicious. Check them out, friendly staff and good service. We’ll be back!

Golden Lake Pub is easily one of my favorite spots in the area! The service is outstanding and the food is excellent. Great atmosphere as well! Absolutely recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Fun town-y bar. Menu is a true Wisconsin bar (lots of deep fried food and burgers). Our bartender was super friendly and very attentive! Love the atmosphere being right of the lake! Seems to be newly renovated which I would count as a plus!

Very happy. My daughter and I stopped by today for lunch on New Year’s Eve @ 2pm. The young man bartender/cook was great. Steak bites-5 stars, Mozz Sticks (huge)-5stars, Patty Melt-4 stars. We will be back. Gotta love the gems off the beaten path.

I normally am not the type to make or post a negative review, but I’m still in disbelief over the absolute horrible service we had last night at GLP. It started when we asked for two pizzas. The bartender asked like we asked for the world and it was HUGE inconvenience to her. Then when they were done she very disgruntedly set them down on the table. Then we asked for drinks and were told she couldn’t serve us any drinks because they close at 12 am-it was 10:50 pm.
I’ve been to GLP for Friday fish fry and the service and food are great, but I was extremely disappointed in this girls work ethic and people skills or lack there of.
