Went in the morning for breakfast. Very friendly staff and patio view of playground and children’s beach. It’s an order ahead then they’ll bring it to your table type of place. Cold brew was good. Food was good pancakes fluffy and breakfast sandwich was great too! Nice spot to let the kids run around.

We came here yesterday for breakfast, and loved it so much we had to come back again today! Yesterday my boyfriend and I both got the avocado egg sandwich, today he got the American breakfast and I once again got the avocado egg. I substituted the English muffins for a lovely multigrain bread. We split a house-made blueberry muffin (which was so moist and fluffy with a delicious sugar-crusted top). Dave, the owner, was kind enough to give us a complimentary house-made sugar donut which blew our expectations out of the water! One of the hostesses, Fritzy, was very kind and quick to clear our table without being over bearing. Overall, between the staff, the clean and comfortable dining area, and the delicious cuisine, the Gypsea Café has left a very positive impression on my boyfriend and I. We will be sure to include this restaurant in all of our future visits to the island!

P.S. Get the lavender latte hot!!

Okay a Hidden Gem in Nantucket one of the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. And I make avocado toast every morning for myself. Great amazing atmosphere right near the pier spoke personally to the owner’s amazing people. They are definitely on the right track! Stop in and say hello to David and his unbelievable team

Visiting Nantucket this weekend and we saw GypSea as a breakfast option. It’s set right on a children’s beach with beautiful harbor views. For breakfast I got the western omelette, with potato medley home fries and the best toast, and my friend got the egg white pesto sandwich on a brioche bun. Both were 10/10. The woman at the register was a peach and Dave was friendly while checking on all of us. We got to try their cranberry orange muffin which was so tasty! Flavorful, moist, with real cranberries and orange chunks – a perfect muffin. I got the unsweetened ice tea and a splash of homemade lemonade. We left satisfied and full bellies for a full day of adventuring on Nantucket! We will be back!

This place is a gem! Close to kids beach and park. A big white canopy gives complete shade over tables. The food was great! Everyone was very pleasant. Food came out at correct temperatures (hot food hot, cold food cold) and fast. We enjoyed our meals with a nice breeze, relaxing music and water views. ❤️
Oh and key lime pie…yum! (A bite missing because I was so excited)

Had the breakfast burrito and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The owner was incredibly friendly, and the coffee was top-notch. Great food, great vibes—definitely worth a visit.

AMAZING CAFE! I have never brought my dog to a restaurant before, so this was her first experience. The staff immediately assured me that they love and welcome pets and within seconds she was served a water dish and a pup cup while we were still waiting in line! She was treated like a little princess and made the dining experience extremely pleasant. Not to mention – our food was OUTSTANDING! I didn’t even get to take a picture, we ate so fast. I will furever go to Gypsea Cafe when I am on Nantucket!

Expectation vs Reality check.
First things first, this is not a waterfront breakfast place….water is far away, so this was a first disappointment.
2nd we’ve ordered 2 cappuccinos to dine-in and they were horrible, it was 90% of milk and 10% of burned espresso.
3rd American breakfast with over-easy eggs and sausage with home fries. The egg whites weren’t even cooked, so we got a runny egg whites with absolutely dry “sandwich” style sausage that was overcooked with 0 moisture in it.
home fries were absolutely disgusting with a first bite being a black molded potato(photos), the taste that i will never forget….
4th french Toast was just a dry bread with no moisture inside and any type of flavor and 1 strawberry as a garnish …
Overall $50 wasted and the biggest disappointment….go to other places for breakfast and for coffees…
