My Family loves the BBQ and Chicken Tenders but the hidden gem is their Burgers… served fresh and hot with a crunchy char and melted slices of cheese on a Grilled Buttery Bun! It’s a wonderful tasing big burger for a great price! Cowboy I’m in love!

This Athens Georgia location of Shane’s Rib Shack is the best! Their location is open with a lot of dining area, the staff is super friendly, and they always seem to get our order correct! Not only that, they are generous with their portions and they have really good tea.
Their unsweet tea is tasty without being bitter, and their peach tea is super duper peachy keen! I’ve been to another Shane’s location where the tea was both bitter and the peach flavor was watered down, so I really appreciate that this Shane’s location is mindful of the quality of their tea.
Our food came quickly. It was all super delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy, the meat portion was generous, and the garlic bread was toasted to perfection today.
I also love that they brought me two portions of honey mustard when I asked for some to dip my French fries in! (It’s really good. Really, it is! Don’t judge.) So they are generous with their condiments as well as their portions.
All in all, this is the best Shane’s location in the area as far as I’m concerned. I will drive here rather than go to the skimpy portioned, bitter tea Bethlehem, GA location any day!

I like Shane’s because the food is always good. The people are always nice. Prices are reasonable. Dont remember mistakes when getting my food. Consistently good.

We’re in from out of town and ordered off uber eats. I thought the order was wrong but it was actually right from the start and the staff was so kind and accommodating to me for MY error. There was a young woman and man who helped me on 11.2 evening (wish I would’ve asked their names). I hope they get the credit they deserve for being so customer focused. On the same note the food was so fire! We got the sampler, and big dad sandwich deal. It was so good at such a reasonable price. Thank you for everything!

I am not a fan of corporate BBQ…..but I do enjoy theirs. The people are friendly and the food is the same. The ribs were juicy and tender, the pulled pork (my personal favorite) is always a good choice. I am from the south but my taste buds are all over the place, I like a spicy sauce and a mustard base here you can make that happen.

Food was excellent! A true Georgia treat! The only reason I gave the atmosphere a 4 was because we were there at night and the lights were flickering making it hard to eat when our allergies are acting up. Other than that a true gem.

I ordered the Family Feast and was disappointed with several things. They only gave us 2 BBQ sauces for the entire meal. The bread provided wasn’t nearly enough to make sandwiches, so I had to buy a pack of buns from them—only to realize they handed me the buns in their original packaging, which had already expired earlier this month.
I also ordered peach cobbler, but it barely had any peaches. Most of the food was served lukewarm instead of hot. The sweet tea tasted watered down, and overall the quality just wasn’t there.
On top of that, I noticed a woman (not in uniform, but seemed like she worked there) grabbing her drink behind the counter, and food was being handled without gloves. The restaurant itself looks very dated and could really use renovations.
Overall, not a good experience and not worth the money.

At one time, I patronized this particular Shane’s on a regular basis. The last several times I’ve attempted to call in an order, they will not answer. Assuming they’re busy, I pull up to place order in person. Peering inside, the restaurant is void of patrons. I call again, for humoring purposes, still, no answer. Subsequently, the food quality has also declined. Suppose I’m about done with them, which is unfortunate.

I’ve just recently move to this town and Shane’s is my go to barbecue spot. But this one was not clean at all, the slaw was more like soup, wanting to sit down and enjoy my meal I could not. After ordering my meal I looked to my left filthy looked to my right dirty. Seems the staff was all in the back doing nothing other than having someone cleaning. I really wanted to cancel my order cause I feel if you don’t keep the area of your restaurant clean where the customers themselves are able to see lord knows how the back is kept. Pictures below.

I eat here quite often but today was awful! The customer service was terrible and my ribs were so dry and not to mention the toast was burnt.
