Love this place! I’ve not been to such good southern cooking in years. The fried chicken is made to order and the sides are top notch. If you’re looking for some solid comfort food in Lincoln, this is the spot.

Absolutely everything I’ve ate from here has been deliciously seasoned and cooked. The ribs have a great smokey flavor, and fall off the bone. Not only are they cooked well, but there is a lot of meat on them. A very impressive amount of food for the price. The fish is moist, and the coating is so crispy. The flavors are all on point. Definitely one of my favorite things on the menu. But let’s talk about the okra. If you’ve had okra you know that if it isn’t done right it’s not edible. GrannyWeavs okra is done to perfection!!! Order it, I promise you won’t be disappointed. The red beans and rice are the best I’ve had, and the baked beans are just as good. If you have a little one, or picky eater, the mac and cheese will be a hit for sure. It’s just the right amount of cheese to noddle ratio, and it’s baked, which I think adds much needed texture. Something very unique and fun are the funnel cake fries topped with powdered sugar and caramel or chocolate. YUM!!! I can’t wait to dine in some day, but for now I feel 100% confident and safe eating take out. So do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some yummy comfort food that won’t break the bank.

The fried chicken has to be some of the best I’ve had and I grew up in the south! The fried okra was also very good! I didn’t love the burger we got but would definitely recommend this place for the good southern food options. The cook who I assume is the owner was delightful as well, she made us feel like we were guests in her home! We will definitely be back.

I heard this place served amazing food but I think I fed too much into the hype. I grew up in the south on southern food and it didn’t meet what I’m use to. The Mac and cheese tasted like elbow noodles with cheese sprinkled on top and the greens were so salty. I expected to have southern style cornbread but instead it was a cold cornbread loaf that tasted like cake because it was so sweet. At least the brisket tasted great

The chicken was nice and juicy, cooked to order so it was good, hot and fresh. We had the mac n cheese and it was tasty. The sweet potatoes were sweet and delicious. I enjoyed the beans and rice as well. The beans were nice and soft and the beef gave it nice flavor. We used the other reviews to go with the items that others really liked. It made our dining experience better by being able to pick some of their best items. We will be back.

For a new place that’s still working out the details, this place has some pretty good food. The ribs were a bit on the dry side, but flavor wise, they had a very nice woody smoke to them with a slight sweet coating or maybe baste? The catfish, at first glance, appeared like it was going to be way too over fried, but it fooled me. It was very moist and tender beneath the breaded coating and tasted great! The fried chicken…WOW. I don’t even know what else to say about it. We had to wait a while for it to cook, but it’s cooked when you order, can’t get any fresher than that and well worth the wait. Phone ahead if you’re in a hurry. MacNCheese was excellent, baked beans were…baked beans, really the only let down. Fried okra was excellent and seemed to put a smile to the face with each piece. Once they work out the kinks and get things a little more settled, I’d give them 5 stars.

Delicious! The fried chicken was made to order, moist, and well seasoned. While I waited I enjoyed some mac-n-cheese with baked beans. Delicious! The collard greens were tasty. Super friendly. I highly recommend eating at GrannyWeavs!

Oh my word is this good food. The staff was perfectly pleasant, and all the food was fresh, hot, and utterly delicious. I had the chicken 2pc. with fried okra and sweet potatoes. The chicken was A+ and so was the fried okra (literally the best restaurant okra I have ever had). The sweet potatoes were ok if a little bland – to be fair though it isn’t my favorite dish any time. All in all well worth the price and I will 100% be returning.
