I recently attended a sushi event at this restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Although it was my first time there, I definitely plan to return. The flavors were well-balanced, the sushi was prepared well, and the service was attentive. On a side note, they also served the best version of sweet and sour soup I’ve ever had.

I am in the Albany Sushi Meetup Group. We have group dinners at the Tea House at least twice a year. It has become one of the favorite locations of the group. Kenny and Yana put out a very wonderful spread. One of our members moved to South Carolina and whenever she comes into town, she makes it a point to go to the Tea House just for their hot and sour soup which, in my opinion, is the best in the area. This place is definitely worth five stars.

I have never in all my days had a red gravy for egg foo young..the rice was disgusting the egg foo young was yuck! The soup was good as well as the free fried noodles the give you at sit down. The waiter said it’s the same gravy as YIPS..the lies…tips gravy was not red and the gravy wasn’t red over a year I go it was brown. Nonetheless the food was horrible the egg foo young was many breading the RED gravy was sweet as if we were at an Italian restaurant [definitely not as good as one] the rice, horrible.i wont even talk abput the calamari ‍♀️..the waiter was kind and understood when he was told the food was horrible. He did not charge us for the food we did not eat [what’s on the table]. I do not recommend this restaurant but if you go Enjoy! Definitely don’t go for you birthday, you will be disappointed

I like sesame chicken for its sweetness and crunchiness. The sesame chicken here was not crunchy whatsoever and the sauce itself was smothering the chicken breasts I received. There were also small pieces of plastic wrap in the rice which I thought were maybe kosher salt crystals at first but upon further inspection it was plastic/ cling wrap. Didn’t get a photo of that because I ended up throwing the meal out after that. There’s better Asian places to eat in the area. Me personally, I won’t be back here.

This was an order placed through Door Dash, it was EXTREMELY quick and I give both parties credit. It arrived hot and fast… but that’s where the compliments end.

My partner had Moo Goo Gai Pan. It tasted old. Hot, but old. It had a gluey, slimy consistency. Flavor was ok but the texture was substandard.

I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken. If you are a big fan of this dish (like me) and have not ordered it here before, I will tell you: it is NOT General Tso’s Chicken. The sauce, which typically has a salty-slightly spicy-sweet soy sauce and garlic flavor tasted like a cross between a curry sauce and a cheap barbecue sauce.

I did not totally hate it but I did not love it. At all. Edible, but this is not the correct preparation and recipe most Asian restaurants use. I absolutely do NOT recommend this dish. It’s just flat out incorrect in its execution.

Pork fried rice was bland. Crab Rangoon were pretty small and chintzy for the price point. The egg rolls were not bad, they met standard.

I wouldn’t order from here a second time.
