Sawmill is a great place to eat and XO has fantastic waffles. I went on a Saturday with two friends and we greatly enjoyed what we ate. We shared three different plates and had a third each. The chicken tenders and waffles were good, but we preferred the XO waffles and the bacon and egg. The spicy maple syrup is great too.
We were served by a very young but very knowledgeable and charming young man, he even helped me take the trays out to our table as my hands were full.
I am usually not a huge fan of waffles, but these were well worth it. Will be back.

So Xo is located in a high end, diverse, food court setting called Sawmill, in Albuquerque NM. I wandered through with my Sister and she vouched for the waffles. I am not usually a waffle person perfering myself to a saltier brunch. I was BLOWN AWAY! Service was quick but also freshly made. We took a number and sat outside! Johnny from New York was so attentive! I custom ordered my choice. My Sister ordered with his suggestion! He gave us a side of the sauce he thought I missed out on and gave Lively sports conversation! I would absolutely go back!! Portions are huge too!! Great place, Great experience!

When you eat waffles four days in a row, you know you’ve found something special. XO Waffle at Sawmill Market completely ruined us for any other breakfast spot!
Johnny in the kitchen is an absolute artist. You can tell he takes great pride in his craft. Every single waffle that came out was perfectly caramelized, with that signature pearl-sugar crunch on the outside and impossibly fluffy brioche goodness on the inside.
Over our four-day waffle marathon, we tried The 505 Waffle (that New Mexican green chile with maple syrup is GENIUS), Waffles & Gravy (the bechamel with savory sausage is comfort food heaven), and The Waffle of My Life (which absolutely lives up to its name). Each one was better than the last, and we still can’t decide which is our favorite.
These aren’t your typical thin, floppy diner waffles. This is authentic Belgian Liège waffle perfection with a New Mexican twist that you can only find here. The pearl sugar, the imported ingredients, the technique, Johnny’s obvious passion for the craft. It all comes together into something truly exceptional.
If you haven’t been yet, stop what you’re doing and get to Sawmill Market. Fair warning: you might end up like us, coming back day after day because nothing else will do. This is Albuquerque’s best-kept secret, and Johnny is the heart of it all.

This was an excellent place to eat. We had the peach with ice cream and caramel on it. Johnny helped us and he was a wonderful wonderful person. I recommend XO Waffle big time for anyone that’s craving sweets or even just breakfast in the morning. My family and I will be going back for the delicious food.

I stay at Hotel Chaco when in Albuquerque. I visit the Sawmill frequently.
I’ve dine at XO waffle a few times now. On two occasions I received service from a man who clearly has an east coast accent. Both times I feel he rushes me through the menu and seems annoyed by my questions. One time he took my order, my cash and proceeded to make my order without changing his gloves. When i asked to remake my food with new gloves he responded, “no problem” During the holidays a very young man (school aged) served me, extremely kind. He witnessed the other worker roll his eyes when i asked questions. I was there this past Sunday and lucky me the same worker was working. I think his name is Johnny. In my opinion XO waffle would benefit without him!!!
Good food not so good service! Which is a shame as I would like to treat business associates to a morning meeting breakfast here. I suppose I’ll need to phone ahead to insure Johnny isn’t working! Thank you for your time!

I ordered the Original Chicken and Waffles but with the spicy maple syrup.
This hit the spot and very delicious and filling. I can’t wait to go back and taste the others meals they have to offer including the sweet treats!

This place was super clean, food fresh and delicious. Jonny gave me an awesome recommendation for the banana waffle idk what it’s called but it was super good and he was very kind. The waffles don’t get soggy even after sitting with toppings 5 stars.

This is my second trip to the Saw Mill. Flew into Albuquerque grabbed a rental car and headed to the Saw Mill. Lots of options. I’m allergic to eggs #allergygirl so breakfast is sometimes a challenge. XO Waffle to the rescue! I had a waffle with chicken and syrup and tried the waffle with sausage and syrup. The waffles were delicious. Perfectly cooked. Topped with sausage or chicken. They had just the right amount of sweet and savory. and hearty. I can’t say I like one over the other. Both make a perfect meal depending on whether you are in the mood for. They are just the right mix of sweet and savory. I top all of the wonderful food off with a steaming Macha latte from lLittle Bear Coffee. A perfect breakfast!

We were staying at Hotel Albuquerque and decided to walk to the nearby Sawmill Market for breakfast. After looking at the menus of the few stands that were open early that morning, we decided to order at XO Waffle. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and the Churro Love and I’m Bananas For You waffles were delicious.
