This is a PHENOMENAL place. The food I got called the Breakfast Bowl tasted amazing and was a brilliant combination of food (kale, broccoli, sweet potato, avocado, and two sunny side up eggs with an amazing sauce on top!), and my cold brew coffee was unique and delicious. I’ll be honest, I helped make it unique because I wanted mine to have cashew milk and maple syrup in it which ended up being

It was just healthy and delicious and the place was cute.

Excellent food, not so pleasant atmosphere.

We stopped at Liza’s of Troy for breakfast in Feb 2025 based on good reviews and appealing food pics.
The order was taken at the register and then brought to our table. The food tasted great and was served quickly! All the dishes had a beautiful presentation! Coffee was a French press and was really good!

The place had no cream or sugar for the coffee. When asked, they offered different kinds of milk instead of cream and maple syrup/honey instead of sugar. Also there were no salt and pepper shakers on any table. When I asked for some salt they gave me a plastic sauce cap with some salt on the bottom to take it with my fingers. It was quite weird. For some reason “Butternut Squash Bowl” had only one egg while all other breakfast items had two. Not sure why this one was special.

The real problem however was the smell. The very first impression we got upon entering was a strong smell of cooked bacon and other foods. It was like standing next to a stove because the space is fully open, with no divider between the sitting area and the kitchen. In such a setup you need a strong hood exhaust but that in turn would make a lot of noise. Anyway, instead of taking our time enjoying the breakfast and great coffee we had to finish it asap and escape to prevent our jackets absorbing the smell 🙁

We are giving Liza’s of Troy 4 stars is it got 5+ on the food and coffee and 3 on the interior and atmosphere.

Food ordered

Went to Farmers Market on Saturday had Big Betty sandwich on toast it was delicious. So went back on Sunday to restaurant and had it on a bagel along with waffle special and black cider and ice hibiscus tea. Everything was delicious. My daughter who’s Celiac was thrill with the choices.

Omg…just tried the Farm Salad from Liza’s. Wow! This aptly named salad contained everything on the farm! A nice mix of greens on the bottom with sliced apples, cucumber, beets, radish, avocado, and pumpkin seeds throughout and topped with a nice dallop of something equivalent to what you’d find on the buffet table of your favorite holiday gathering (tasted like a dill dip!) The marinated chicken pieces provided just the right amount of tasty protein. It was crave-able. Plus, you get two slices of toasty focaccia bread to complete the meal! I’ve had several things from Liza’s but this might be my new go-to.

I love plants! Loved sitting in a green atmosphere which was aesthetically pleasing and having some healthy brunch! Friendly staff! Food was tasty and smoothies were good. We ordered avocado & eggs and some bagels. Prices were a little higher but can understand that with the quality of the food we got to eat there! Overall a brunch place to definitely try if u haven’t!

Stopped in for brunch with the girls and absolutely loved this dedicated gluten free café! Such a cute spot with a cozy, welcoming vibe. I had the Big Betty breakfast sandwich and a cold brew—both were amazing. As a celiac, I really appreciate places like this where I can eat safely and actually enjoy the food. We were just passing through town, but I wish I could come here every day! There need to be more spots like this everywhere.

This was a cute place to have a light breakfast. We had gotten the raspberry waffle dish and it was delicious. The waffle was flavorful and we had a tea with it which tied everything together. The atmosphere was nice and I believe that this is a hidden jem in downtown Troy. I will definitely come here again!

Where is the restroom? How can they serve people coffee and food and offer NO RESTROOM? Terrible. Also, I would like to add my own creamer (preferably half and half or cream) to my coffee. They made it way too light.
