Felt out of place the moment I stepped in which is not common because I’m in a mexican restaurant one to two times a week. I ordered a combination burrito add guacamole dinner. I payed $22 for the dinner. That’s insane. There is a place in the same plaza that I got the same meal from and it was $11. I felt like the lady didn’t want me there after I started to ask why it’s $22. Really liked the rice and the salsa Verde but the burrito was just so so. Way to expensive for it not to be the best burrito I’ve ever had. Would not recommend seeing you can go to like 20 other spots in the area that will be cheaper and much better. Maybe my experience was a one off but it was the one that’s making me not come back.

Mundelein has a lot of very good Mexican restaurants and this is one of the best. Their salsa and sauces are all excellent. Their pork, chicken and steak are well made and seasoned to perfection.

Had the chicken and steak tacos very good delicious flavor homemade salsa chips and salsa were amazing pretty much everything on the menu looks good and tasted great they have horchata and Mexican Coke and their prices are better than most taco places

Place is small and intimate. Food was very good. I apprecate the authenticity, but it was on the pricey side. The food is far better here than a place like Don Julio’s. So if you don’t mind the diner type of feel, this is a good place. I didn’t like that a mop and bucket came into the eating area at one point either.

Unable to communicate with the server. Ended up ordering a hot tasteless water diluted soup in a “basin” which did not look like the plate we saw on the menu picture. They serve food on plastic dishes. A/C did not work. Chairs and tables are sticky. Prices are not justified.

Great tacos! Loved the beef tongue especially. Seems authentic Mexican. Love the interior paintings. English speakers welcome. I don’t speak Spanish but no problem.
