I’ve long been a fan of this Famous Dave’s, have eaten here often. The food and service are great. My only complaints are the general direction the franchise has taken in the past year. They no longer play good Blues music, and have swapped their roomy picnic-basket plates with a smaller, more modern plate that is hard for the waitresses to carry. It’s like they are trying to become Perkins or TGIF instead of remain Famous Dave’s. But, the food is some of the best I could ask for, and great portions.

We ate at this Famous Dave’s location the first week they were open and 2-3 times per month until new corporate management took over.
Under corporate management that did not include Famous Dave, the of the food, service, value, and Famous Dave’s experience degraded to point where we stopped going to any FDs.
I read that FD was back at the helm in an attempt to right the ship. I ventured in for dinner alone, my wife did not want to come, and was impressed with everything except the exceedingly small bowl of mac and cheese.
Tonight we both came in for dinner and enjoyed everything except the exceedingly small bowl of mac and cheese. FD is back in our rotation!

After a long absence from Dave’s we went back and still missed the music, but the food was on track and they ditched the white lean cuisine dishes. Was so disappointed to see the Stillwater location was closed.

We got a sampler for 2-3 – could have fed 4 for sure. Food was pretty good, corn on the cob was a little mushy.
