Honestly, if you’re looking for a spot that hits that perfect “comfort food” sweet spot, you have to check out ME + CRÊPE. It’s one of those hidden gems that feels modern and clean but still serves up food that tastes like it came straight off a street corner in Beijing. I went at 11:30am for a quick lunch before a conference and it was so quiet, I even got some work done. The food is delicious and really good if you need a quick grab and go. The service was very fast and the cashier was very kind. 10/10 my favorite little spot in Pasadena

This was my second time coming here (the first time I came was on a whim and I was blown away!), and it did not disappoint. I’m honestly not sure why this place isn’t busier; the food is SO good!

I came here for lunch with my partner today. I ordered the spicy seafood crepe and he got the pork belly crepe. We also shared shrimp gyoza and he got a pork bun. Everything was so good, so worth it!!

I’ll admit, the first time I came I was a bit apprehensive about the crepe because I don’t love things that are overly eggy but the ratio is superb. It’s made to order and the staff are friendly!

Definitely recommend 🙂

I got takeout here for the cumin lamb and it was DELICIOUS!! crispy and the lamb wasn’t too gamey. Not too salty or oily. Perfect quick lunch on the go.

Peking duck crepe was delicious, original flavor tofu soup was just ok. Street parking was hard. There is a public parking close by for $1 for the first 2 hours.

A nice spot in downtown Pasadena for Chinese style crepes. The taste of the crepes is authentic to the classic Tianjin street food. The biggest complaint however is the price of these street foods which would have any Chinese ancestor rolling in their graves regarding the absurdly high price for a classic cheap street item. If price is of no concern, then don’t let that dissuade you from trying out this delicious establishment.

My husband and I tried their Peking Duck crepe. The duck was crispy and fatty. The crepe also had a lot of savory flavors with some spices. It was filling to share between the 2 of us. We also tried their congee combo with Chinese donut. The Chinese donut was really fresh and crunchy. I hope to come back to try more of their crepes.

Peking duck crepe:
Pretty good. I was hoping the actual crepe has some crunch to it but it’s very soft. The filling inside is yummy. They cut a long crepe into two so you can share if you want a light snack. 4/5

Soybean milk:
Really yummy. Lightly sweet with a mild tofu flavor and a velvety smooth texture. 5/5

You’re telling me that I can get Chinese street food in Pasadena? Yesss. Absolutely amazing. I’m ecstatic that I can comfortably eat pig ear on green street and roast duck in my delicious eggy crepes.

The business costs in Pasadena are very high, so anyone expecting street cart prices at a brick and mortar can stay home.

I went here with my girlfriend that grew up in China and this is something they ate as a child. Neither of us were impressed. The dish is meant to be made fast (in China these are made on street carts) and it does take some skill to keep up with the pace, but this place is on the slower side. The crepe is overloaded with grease. The heavily oiled donut plus chili powder overpower the taste of everything else. There’s no balance to the taste. The kitchen is in the main area with poor ventilation so expect to have the smell of the food on your clothes as you leave. On a positive note, the soy milk is tasty. Don’t think i’ll be coming back.

Honestly, love this place! It’s not quite a creperie in the French sense—rather, this restaurant serves up savory Chinese-style crepes called “jianbing” 煎饼, a popular Chinese breakfast food filled with whatever your heart desires (in my case, usually Peking duck or BBQ pork). If you want to feast, I recommend getting a jianbing with one of the combos (either the tea egg, soybean milk, fried Chinese donuts (油条)and/or tofu soups). So good ✨

There are also some non-jianbing food option such as bento boxes and other side dishes. I haven’t had these but they look good and could supplement your meal.

Pros: food is delicious, comes out fast, good for a quick casual bite, clean bright interior
Cons: there is no restroom in the restaurant for customers, sometimes the AC can be kind of cold (why I docked a point for atmosphere)

Parking is metered street parking in the area or one of the parking garages in Old Town.
