The food was great. Had a burger and fries. Very reasonably priced. Only $17 for mine and the hubs meals and he got the jumbo bacon cheeseburger and fries. They had several different desserts on the menu to choose from but I was too full to try them unfortunately. I will return to this place!

I enjoy from time to time an original old school resteraunt that makes you feel at home, where everyone knows everyone, where you get the best waitress and hospitality and heck you even get to enjoy a smoke (if you prefer that) without going outside. This is what America was founded on. I highly recommended breakfast, lunch or dinner!

We stopped at the Cat Cafe on the way back from Pennyrile Lake and let me tell you it was fantastic. After a long day on the water I just wanted a good sweet tea and burger & my fiance a salad. Walking in we didn’t know they allowed smoking, me and her quit a long time ago but that was not a problem whatsoever. If anything it gave me nostalgia of a different time. I haven’t seen that in years but they had fans on full blast and was never a problem at all.
Back to the food. First sip of sweet tea and I’m home, PERFECTLY sweet. We got our food and my burger FANTASTIC, double with bacon cooked perfectly juicy and browned. Fries and slaw the perfect pair. My fiance said she loved her salad too and hot fudge cake for dessert.
Our server was fantastic and we will be coming back 100%.

I literally had no idea that this was a smoking restaurant nor did I know that was even still legal in the states. They were very polite. But when we walked in there was a lady sitting there smoking and I just couldn’t bear the smell. I thought it was a family friendly restaurant. But I would not be comfortable sitting down with my children. So we left immediately.

Wow! The food was amazing, the service was delightful, the atmosphere was classic. I had the liver & onions with mashed potatoes and turnip greens and it took me back in time. I then had the best chess pie ever. The crust was perfect! Note: they allow smoking, so order to go if necessary, but don’t pass up a meal here!

Great food and service. Very small old building, which doesn’t bother me. Only problem I had was smoking is allowed. Personally I do not like the smoke. People at the next table started smoking and I couldn’t leave quick enough. If it doesn’t bother you, then, by all means, go check them out. The food will not disappoint.

This time had a meat and three. Country fried steak mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and green beans. All the food was hot & delicious. Oh, it came with a roll, but i was stuffed. Great service….she checked on us several times. Refilled tea. Decent cost. A little over $20 for 2. We’ll be back.
