Isabella is an icon, a queen, a legend. She was super responsive and even helped me craft a cocktail into life. The bar itself is kinda mid but Isabella made it worth stopping in. I was traveling through & wanted a quick stop to grab a drink before finishing my evening. The bar was mostly empty so I selfishly had most of her attention, but that didn’t stop her from giving 5 star service. She was on top of it, even making sure I had water to drink & refilling it to keep me hydrated. If you stop in, Isabella is your girl, your homie, your A1 from day 1. She won’t let you down.

Isobel was absolutely amazing, the highlight of my night, the sweetest person ever she talked to us with such cheer. Thank you so much Isobel best bartender ever.

I went here at around 11:30PM on a Saturday for a wedding after party. I was really taken aback by the dress code to the establishment which seemed discriminatory. Myself and several others stayed for one drink and then left because we felt the environment was not friendly towards people of color. Not sure whether or not this vibe is intentional, but I think the establishment needs to rethink their dress code signs outside and the art on the walls inside to make the bar a more welcoming environment for all people.

If I could give zero stars I would. Before my friends and I even walked in, the bouncer (a white male) was already making racist remarks. Speaking Chinese as we stood to the side to get our money out. If this is how you want your business to be represented then shame on you. Needless to say we took our business else where. Will be warning friends and family about this place. Sadly this is not the first time poc have experienced micro aggression / racism here if you read other reviews.

Went for a drink and a friend wanted a water, bartender charged my card for a water bottle without asking and when I asked for a tap water in a cup they said they don’t do that there. Not only was my card charged for a water but I tipped $0.00 on my card and the bartender tipped themselves $1.00. I know this because I have a picture of my signed receipt. Not a problem because I disputed it with my bank and got my money back but beware.

We peeked in the door to see if it was worth going in. There was a maximum of five patrons in the entire bar, so we decided to not enter. It was pouring, so we stood under the outdoor roof for no longer than thirty seconds discussing where we wanted to go. Within those thirty seconds, an old white balding male worker popped out the door and asked if we were coming in to which I replied no. He then aggressively said “Then get off my patio” as if we were in anyone’s way. We thought he was joking at first, so the two of us just looked at him and awkwardly laughed. He then proceeded to get more angry and say “No I’m serious get OFF MY PATIO”. We have never been customers at this establishment, and based off this interaction alone we never will be. It is very obvious why the ratings are so awful and why it was so dead here on a Saturday night. Highly recommend going anywhere else and that the aggressive male seek some customer service training & anger management classes.

Review for Cowboy on the Lake: Visited in September 2023. After being seated, waited 2 hours for our food. During that time, we wandered back and forth between inside and outside and then suddenly, were stopped from returning to the outdoor area by someone collecting a cover for the band. Our waitress was kind enough to ask the “door person” to let us continue to enjoy the outdoor area while we waited but 2 in our party paid the cover fee before we asked for that privilege. The owner/manager is boisterous and critical of his staff which was audible to patrons. The food was mediocre.

The only redeeming quality was the friendly staff. The place was in desperate need of repair and updates. The drinks were expensive and small. They didn’t even serve tap water, had to buy their $3 bottles, and no outside drinks allowed. Had to pay a cover (was a weekend night). I didn’t see a single non-white person there, and the “dress code” seemed overtly discriminatory. I will never go again, no would I ever recommend this place (unless it’s to recommend NOT to go).

Excellent. Not sure why all the negative reviews. Seems most of the negative is a 1 star trend with certain reviewers on everything they review. It’s a bar with a dress code. 90% of bars in Manhattan have the same.

Decent drinks, cheap and friendly staff. No complaints

The drinks were good and bartender was nice. If you keep up with modern day country, you’ll enjoy the music.

You need a flashlight to use the bathroom. It’s uncomfortably dark and honestly I don’t get what kind vibe they’re going for.
