Great new spot for food in Skowhegan! We loved the German-style menu—bratwurst, schnitzel, spelt pretzel and the crisped smashed potato with curry mayo were all delicious! Great service too, we’ll definitely make the trip to come back!

I just had dinner here for the 1st time, can’t wait to return. I had the wurst platter w the potato salad, my mother had the chicken schnitzel, all very good! The sausages were very good quality, and spatzel delicious! I really love that they put in a stage and there was live background music. The decor was understated so the beauty of the old building shone through. The staff was pleasant. I would like to see more German beer selections. I will recommend and return.

Nice spot right on the river. They had a good local beer selection, and you just drink from the can. No beer on tap, no cups.
Bratwurst and pretzels were good. The buns are made from a local place.
Biggest complaint is the bees! They were all over the food and flying around us while we ate. We looked up at a pole and there was a bee house, so they are attracting them on purpose. Seems like an awkward choice for a food and drink establishment.

Great find. Food was unusual and good, plenty of choices of Beer and Ale. Our waitress Autumn was fun and friendly. Our only complaint was finding the restaurant. Used Waze, and passed it twice. We figured out it had to be in the newly renovated Factory Condo complex. It was on the second floor. No outside signage, makes it a guessing game. Even a banner on the balcony would attract Customers. I can’t even imagine how many Customers gave up trying to find it. Atleast until their permanent signage arrives. Great find. No pun intended.

We had wonderful time talking with Phil and April (I think?) and the head chef! Everyone was just so great and the food was fantastic. We were fortunate enough to go in when it wasn’t very busy so we got the time for chatting.
We had the devilish eggs, the pickled vegetables, and the Reuben.. so great!
The sun’s a little small, so look closely. It’s worth paying attention to enjoy your time there!

We just left there. The server was absolutely horrible. First off, she had to be told to come and seat us (party of 3) and it was NOT busy. She told us we could sit and then dropped off the face of the earth. After about 15 minutes or so I had to get up and get the bartender who didn’t even know where our server went. She ended up taking our order. Then the original server came back just in time to attempt to delivery the food, guessing on everything, and had no clue. Of course, she had to come back to take the tip. The worst part is we accidentally hit the WRONG tip% so she got a tip that she definitely didn’t deserve! Horrible service can’t save good food.

We got the family platter!! Everything and I mean everything from the sauces to the bier was absolutely great. I was very full and very pleased with all of it. On top of that staff was great. Definitely on my list to go again!
